WHat's the easiest way to haul a Nintendo Cab up a flight of stairs?

I'm taking my Donkey Kong home (have 2 at the arcade and we need the space, so I get to take home my first game that I ever got...YES!) but I need to haul it up a flight of stairs into my Caveman loft.

Any suggestions on the best way to do this? Should I rent a fridge dolly? How many people?

I've never done this before (had movers move the Popeye up there. I was at work) so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I used to live in a condo and had my games upstairs. They were carpeted. I moved the games upstairs by myself by laying them on their backs onto the stairs and then just lifting the bottom up one step at a time until I got to the top and then standing them back up. I moved some fairly heave games (Millipede for instance) with no problem.

Nintendo cabs are pretty light. You could also have one person up top pulling to make it easier. Some people have also used ratcheting straps to pull them up.

I'd consider hiring a helicopter to lift it up and in to the master bedrooms window. Or perhaps a crane to drop down through the roof? I think another serious contender would be to have a duplicate condo built AROUND the Nintendo cabinet... but you'd have to come up with a way to suspend it mid-air while the floor was built below it... hmmmm...

If you rent a dolly, make sure it's not like this:

The platform doesn't go reach under a Nintendo cab far enough to lift it safely (unless you lift it from the side), because the base is inset 2-4 inches.

Either rent this Dolly or take it completely apart. Get a few bags, carry it upstairs, and reassemble it. The good thing about the second method is that you won't have to do that again to take it down thanks to Newton.

Now that's a big enough shelf for anything.

A rocket. Duct tape. Roller skates.

So says Wile E. Coyote. :D

To get two Super Mario Bros. games up to my place, 25 stairs and 5 tight turns, I just grabbed the bottoms with one hand and lifted, as someone guided them to make sure they didn't touch the walls.

Don't rent a furniture dolly. A Nintendo cabinet is 2 guys, 30 seconds, no equipment.

Heck, I hauled 3 cabinets up and down steps today before lunch and every one of them was heavier than a Nintendo cabinet.
