I was wondering are these the same games? I have a neo geo cab with bust a move but the label says puzzle bobble. What is the deal with this?

All of the carts are actually the same. Unlike other game images, there is just one for Neo Geo. The language is set on the bios on the board so no matter what language cart you plug in, you'll get whatever your board is set to. Bubble Bobble means more to the japanese as a franchise so they imagined that the name Puzzle Bobble would be "too" confusing for the US. Hence the name change to "bust a move" or maybe there was a Young MC fan in the Taito US office...

Surely that wasn't the reason... Interestingly the European version is still called Puzzle Bobble.
