What is a must to see while in Orlando ? I am not interested in going to any of the theme parks . Are there any bad ass arcades around? I have the whole day tomorrow

If you're an electronics-guy, go to Skycraft Surplus (http://www.skycraftsurplus.com/). Except, shit, they're closed on Sundays. Oh well.

Try asking about arcades on www.villagebbs.com/forum That's where all the Florida (esp central) guys hang out. I don't think there's anything "badass" around. Disney Quest is pretty cool, but expensive.

Let's see, things in Orlando other than theme parks... Depends on what you're looking for. I-drive, of course. IKEA... Mt. Dora...

Gatorland. Tossing frozen hot dogs at Salt Water Crocs is super fun. SNAP!

Better than any of the Disney Parks although Wild Animal Kingdom is pretty cool.

I was just there. The downtown is nice if you want to bar hop. A lot of.fun places and the crowd was diverse. We were there for a wedding and just stayed down by our hotel, but had fun.

Gonna check this out tonight with a buddy from work

KJeffery:

2 places.... there is a newer Dave and Buster's with some great driving arcades(forgot their names) but some wacked chick and I spent a Tuesday with her future lezbo daughter and friends. The games were more fun then her.

Bar there is pretty good at night also.

2nd place is Funspot also on International Drive but 2-3 miles east of D&B's. Some old school arcades. You play by e-card but they give you back cashv anything left on the card....

Hope it helps,
-Dave

PGA show at the Orlando convention center (if you are a golf junkie that is)
It typically runs at the end of January each year.

I live downtown Orlando. We have some great spots for games. All on free play. Check out BART for some vids and Spacebar has a good row of pins and a few vids. All supplied by local collectors. PM me for some info. Downtown is pretty rad.

I used to travel to Orlando 3 of the 4 weeks of the month, from PA. Sci-Fi city is pretty rad if you're into miniatures or board games or other things like that, and there's another board game store nestled somewhere around Orlando but I can't remember the name.

Just stay away from Orange Blossom Trail in the middle of the night. ;) Took a wrong turn down there one time at 4AM.
