Whats the best sit down driving arcade? Opinions?

If I were buying, I would be looking for a Sega GT or Daytona. Sega GT is gorgeous, and Daytona is probably the most played driving game ever. But both would be much better as a pair so people can duel.

I like Tokyo Cop. Not really a racer, you have to crash into the bad guys.
Pretty fun, gets lots of plays here at home.

Am I the only NASCAR fan out here. Sega made the Nascar sit down games that were awsome. Any driving game that comes with its own roll cage is a must.

Rush 2049....without a doubt. I didn't like the "futuristic" theme at first, but the game is AWESOME! It has lots of levels and cars. What separates it from the others, is the ability to record all of your data. You unlock more cars and tracks the more you play.

Mario Kart is the best, IMO.

Hydro thunder is great for young kids because there is no gas pedal - so they can still play.

However, Hyrdo and Cruisin don't have a lot of replay value, IMO. One of the newer drivers like Outrun2 or something similar would be a better buy.

If you have the space, I've always had a thing for the 18 wheeler game. Something is just fun about ramming other Semi trucks into each other :)

I'll toss in another vote for RUSH 2049; tried to get one this past weekend at an auction but the price just kept going up.

FYI, a fellow KLOV'er has told me that the RUSH THE ROCK ALC. he has is a one piece unit, therefore I would need to modify (enlarge) the front door on my house to get it in here. :001_ssad:

Race Drivin!

I would probably want a dual racer like Cruisin or Daytona. I was not a big fan of the SF Rush series.

If I only had room for one sit downer though, I would choose a Race Drivin'. I would want it in mint condition, bullet proofed in any/every way possible, and a lifetime maintenance guarantee though. Hey, this is a dream thread, right?

No crap! How did we get 35 posts into this thread before Hard/Race Drivin came up?

I also didn't see Outrun. What. The. Hell.

OK, for new games, that H2 Overdrive is fun. Played it at the movies last weekend and I really liked the flying/boost thing it had going on.

And Sega Rally /Rally Championship were good ones too. Since Rally is 15 years old now, I wonder what one goes for? Anyone seen one sell lately?
