I don't know about other people, but craigslist in Michigan is pretty much worthless. Every time I contact a listing I am interested in they either never respond, they want a million dollars, or some local retail guy snatched it up. I am not a low baller, but I do not like spending full retail either.

The following has been listed for a week, every email I have sent has not been returned.

I don't understand people that leave their listings up after they sold it, I mean have some respect and take it down, or reply that its gone.

Okay, that was my ranting....

Where do you guys find good deals other than Craigs and Ebay?

Thanks!

I think the best way is to meet and keep in touch with other collectors. Both locally and on forums like this. You probably won't get any outright steals, but you'll usually pay a fair price and eventually find what you want.

Yeah, the occasional steal pops up on CL, but it is the luck of the draw. I've also pretty much given up on CL.

I have the same frustrations here where I am. It's taken me years to find a nice Shadow for some reason. Furthermore, there are idiots near me that will buy up pins quickly if one does so happen to show up, just to turn around and try to flip it. I'd love to kick Mike Nogel right in the nuts.
