I know this is vague but it's been bugging me for ages that I can't remember the names of the following 2 games:
somewhere around 1984 or 85 - it was a space invaders type game but you sat in it (the cab had a roof) The object was to shoot ships in the distance, your yellow "lasers" appeared to project from either side of your head as you sat and both shots met near the center of the screen (so it appeared you were firing at distant alien ships)
The second game was probably made in the early 90's, vertical shooter, 2 player, the enemy ships had an organic look - it wasn't written by Toaplan... if I remember correctly you could modify your weapon under certain circumstances by firing "through" the second player's ship. Most of your weapons had a "lightning" effect to them.
