Hey everyone. I was just wondering what y'all think my IGT is worth. I forget what year it is. I paid $1800 for it 10 years ago. It works perfectly and is in excellent condition. I also have the casino stand for it. All it needs is some new lamps and ballasts. I want to sell it to get a new arcade game. Let me know what you think. I attached a pic.

With so many slot machines (especially those made by IGT) out there now, yours has certainly dropped in value.

Probably worth about $700 if it has a bill acceptor installed. $600 with no bill acceptor.

slot

in nevada theres a glut of these
as result wholesale is 100, retail 500

cant transport them?

I looked into getting a machine in Las Vegas, and bringing it home, however I was told that it is a felony to transport them across state lines. Anyone have any knowledge about this?

My son lives there, and can easily buy one, but didnt want to take a chance on transporting across the country..

Usually the states with legalized gambling DONT ALLOW THEM.

NJ has Atlantic City thus cant buy them only ones 25 years and older.

I highly doubt you'll run into trouble driving one from LV to wherever home is, not like the cops are looking for people with slot machines in their trunks.

Go For It

ok,

Ok, Well #1 Unless private party, you WONT buy one from any dealers in las vegas if there is any question of what "state" and or county (yes some areas DO ban by county!)
#2 where is final destination?

whatever

Whatever someone will pay..
This may sound like a smart ass answer at first!
but its not, there is a LOT of machines out there NOW, there used to be a heck of a lot less..
I don't honestly think you would get close to your 1800 anymore..

laws

from a very fast google.
your already in violation of laws there with ownership unless that one is 40 years old. and from knowing that type of machine
its not..

IC 35-45-5-3.5 Possession of electronic gaming device; maintaining a professional gambling site; exception for antique slot machines possessed for decorative, historic, or nostalgic purposes
Sec. 3.5.
(a) Except as provided in subsection (c), a person who possesses an electronic gaming device commits a Class A infraction.
(b) A person who knowingly or intentionally accepts or offers to accept for profit, money, or other property risked in gambling on an electronic gaming device possessed by the person commits maintaining a professional gambling site, a Class D felony. However, the offense is a Class C felony if the person has a prior unrelated conviction under this subsection.
(c) Subsection (a) does not apply to a person who:
(1) possesses an antique slot machine;
(2) restricts display and use of the antique slot machine to the person's private residence; and
(3) does not use the antique slot machine for profit.
(d) As used in this section, "antique slot machine " refers to a slot machine that is:
(1) at least forty (40) years old; and
(2) possessed and used for decorative, historic, or nostalgic purposes.
Is it illegal to sell it?

Is it illegal to sell it?

Pull the quarter out of the comparitor and put a token in its place...legal to sell in MOST states. As far as legality, its up to you to do the research and see what the laws are in your state. Its tough getting a straight answer on it. My girlfriends sister in law is a cop and she talked to the guy who is in charge of that sot of thing for me.
All the casinos are slowly phasing out the S+ machines so there's plenty of them out there now. The prices on the parts for them have dropped significantly in the past few years indicating a better supply.
I sold six machines to a guy in a bulk deal a few months ago for 2K. All but two were either working or near working. I had been selling them for $450-$500 each prior to that.
IGT's are nice machines and relativly easy to keep running. I kept one for my gameroom and it doubles as a change machine since I have a DBV.
