I've gotten an offer to sell my 1987 Laser War pinball machine but I'm not sure what it's worth. The circuit board is not corroded, there are not any aesthetic defects other than normal wear from a 22 year old machine.

There is an issue with a faulty wire I believe that causes the ball ejector to continually eject a ball that is not present, but other than that, the game works fine.

What do you think? Should I expect $500? $1000? $1500?

This game is a lot of fun and worth every penny but it's at my parent's house and they rarely (i.e. never) use it. Once us kids moved out it has sat in the basement and aged like fine wine...

Thanks for the help

You can get a good idea by seeing what others are asking, and for similar titles, on www.mrpinball.com .
Not having looked or being familiar with that title, non DMD pins usually top out at $1000 for desired titles. $300 to $500 for B and C list titles in nice shape.

Well..

There a couple cool things about that machine..it was Data East's first pin they ever made..and I believe the first one with stereo sound...I have played it many times at my brother-in-laws house. He bought one off ebay two years ago for $1800. It was in really nice condition too. The playfield just needed a little polish...no big deal..

Anyway, not sure what to expect for yours. I would throw it up on CL and here for what YOU think its worth, put "obo" in the ad, and see what happens. At least it might give you a general idea.

Like I tell everyone who is selling something: They ALL have their BOTTOM price they are willing to let something go for...and their TOP price they HOPE it goes for...I always throw something up for a price somewhere in the middle..or, I throw it on ebay, start bidding at my BOTTOM price and go from there..

Good Luck! Its a fun machine that I am sure someone would be interested in..

Yeah I've been told it is valued around $725 through a pinball pricing guide but what it's worth and what someone is willing to pay maybe completely different given the fact that its the original DE pinball machine and the first to be equipped with stereo surround sound.

The game is a lot of fun but I really have no background on evaluating pinball machine values. Thanks Again!!!
