Found one thats in a orange nintendo cab locally for $600 but I can't help but think thats waaaay to high. I was thinking maybe in the $300-350 range? Am I lowballin?? Didn't that game come in a grey cab?

Grey cab = Dedicated VS cab

DK/DKJr cab = Conversion VS cab

Midway cab = Conversion VS cab

$300 is on the high side IMHO... $200-$250 maybe.

From my experience, Vs. conversion cabinets go for anywhere between $150-350 depending on condition (jacked to minty), type of cab (plywood/particle, red/orange/blue, etc.) and what game it comes with. I've never seen or bought an original grey cab, so I don't know what those are worth.

Vs. Excitebike is one of the more popular games and it uses the 0003 PPU which is the same one needed for Vs. Balloon Fight (you need two of them). But even so, the cab is not worth $600 nor will it ever be. :)

The guy just told me his best offer so far is $500,but I call bullshit because if that were the case he would have jumped on it and never responded to me in the first place.

My reply: "You better jump on that as that is a $250 game at best. If things don't work out and you want it gone... I have a truck, dolly, and $250 cash. Thanks."

Yeah, sounds like a lie to me. Unfortunately, this is another case of "I'm sitting on gold and no one else can prove me otherwise" or "I saw this go for $1000 on ebay."

Make your offer, forget it and move on. If he gets back to you, he gets back to you.

Yeah I'm not sweatin the game that hard anyways, just thought it'd be a nice addition to my nintendo row. I can always play it on my NES and big screen for free lol.

One locally just went for $200.00. Saw it myself. Blue Cab. Little burn, okay screen, needed repaint and tmolding. It also came with a working SMB PCB.

I wouldn't have paid more than that considering the SMB PCB came with.

I think $250 would be a fair price for one in great condition. I love excitebike, but not in cabinet form, if that were a Vs. Castlevania, then I'd jump at $250. lol
