Whats a clean Vs cab (no sideart) w/ a capped monitor, nice CP but no PCB worth?

Around Mid-valley Oregon about $200-$250.

Add any random game into it and you just got a $300-$350 seller.

I sold my repainted Super Mario Bros. cabinet to a KLOVer for $220, but the monitor had a blue level issue. New cp, new t-molding, etc.

I'd say a minty Vs. cab with a game (original side art and matching marquee to game inside is a plus) is worth around $300-350 depending on what game comes with it. Without a game and no side art, $200-250.

I sold/traded my Vs. cab with Vs. RBI Baseball for about a $350 value but it was cleaned inside and out, edges repaired, sanded/painted, new wood base, very clean CP, new Asahi Seiko faceplates, and NOS side art.

You looking to pick up another one? Or selling yours?

So, lets get this straight...

Vs Cab
Capped Sanyo Monitor
Fully Populated CP
Wiring Harness
3 extra marquees
2 bezels
New T-Molding

equals

$140?

Wow.

I wouldn't pay more than $150 for a crisp Vs. cab with no game in it.

Think of it this way... parting it out may bring you more than selling it complete, but it would take longer. It's not worth as much complete to some people, because it's a pain to lug around. and missing parts, it's not worth as much, because some people don't want the hassle of trying to find what they are missing to make it complete

The only thing missing would be a PCB, which are readily available everywhere. These things aren't rare.

Thanks for the input guys.

Then put one in it. Why take the hit? Buy a game and put in the machine then sell it for more money.

Parting that cab would be a waste of time - dealing with everyone, packing, and shipping would make it totally not worth what you'd get out of it. You throw a game in it, put it online and it's gone. That easy.

I paid $250 for my first VS. cab. It was a DK converted to Vs. Super Mario...

It was very rough, though.

I would buy one for the same price without a board though, if it's as nice as you say, and i had the money.

With those extras, I'd say it's worth at least $200-250 like I said.
Definitely agree on this one.

If you were closer ( or even remotely on the same side of the damn country ) this wouldn't even be a thread! ...

+1.

I also agree with ViceMikey. Just throw a left-over crappy VS. board in it so that the game is playable, and that way it can be listed on CL or elsewhere as a working game. It will increase the number of potential buyers.
