Just wondering what the going rate is for a stand up working Tron arcade game? There is a guy locally who has been trying to sell his for probably close to a year and he is asking $800 obo, and he hasn't lowered the price from day one.I contacted him in the past about it but he didn't want to move off $800 to much because he says he paid more than that for it when he bought it. He said it is missing the side art. I am interested in the game but $800 seems very high for it or more than I want to spend on it. I would have to sell a few of my games to make room for it and to get the cash to buy it but before I do that I was wondering what a going rate for Tron is.

condition is everything and that side art is expensive, but if thats the only issue $800 is on the low side of what i usually see being asked

I paid $475 for mine. It works (minus a video glitch) but the artwork is beat to death, the translite is cracked, and its missing a light fixture.

Recently prices have been inflated because of the movie. I don't get why he said "obo" but refuses to budge from $800.

I think $800 is a little high without side art. But if it's in decent shape, you would still be okay paying that much.

I would tell the guy "I'll give you $XXX" and tell him that if he is serious about selling it (obviously he's not right now) to give you a call.

as stated before, condition is the key.

If you see the price these parts are getting, it's very hard to "piece" a tron together for under $800.

it truly comes down to how bad YOU want a tron.

$800 is not a steal, but it is fair.

I haven't seen the machine in person, just a few pics so I don't know what condition the cabinet is in. I am thinking I maybe should go and take a close look at it since he isn't to far from me to see what condition the cabinet is in.

I just noticed your location, too. From what I understand, it's much more difficult to get games in Canada. I'm not sure if you're close enough to the border to get games from the US cheap, but that can come in to play.

Location is a huge factor in pricing these things. Here in the US, something on one side of the country may go for twice as much on the other side.

Games are definitley harder to come by up here, I see games down there and I can't believe how cheap some are but when I factor in shipping cost it makes even the cheap games expensive.

Got the Tron today for $600. The cabinet is in good condition, just doesn't have the side art. The joystick on it is from astron belt which looks similar to the tron joystick so I am going to buy the replacement one from grooy game gear, I think it should fit ok.

how is it otherwise. all lights work, art in good shape otherwise? play 100% and no water damage? if so, that's not too bad. just hope you didn't sell any good games to get tron. not that tron's bad, it's a real fun game. i just hate to sell stuff that may be hard to find again in the future in decent shape.

Game works good, there is zero water damage to the cabinet and all the lighting works. I am considering selling my Flight 2000 pinball to free up some room . Not sure if I am going to do that yet though.
