I have a megatouch 5 at home. Only paid like $100 for it. My wife likes it. I would like to get her a newer style one. But when I have been to auctions, have been seeing alot of the touchscreen games getting in the 1000's. Not spending that much.

Is there anything newer then mine that I can get for maybe under $500?

we have a megatouch 6 and a touchmaster 7000...the touchmaster series is like series 5000 up thru 8000...it's pretty fun and about the same price as the megatouch games

If you keep your eyes open you can find some Maxx games pretty cheap these days. Maxx is one step under the Force and although it has been dropped as far as updates from Merit they blow away the CRT 260 line. They are essentially Force without Texas Hold em. I would recommend Ruby or Sapphire because the prices start going up once you get to the Jade (2nd last update) and Crown (Last update).

XL's are almost as cheap as the old school Megatouch line, and thats when Merit made the leap from using a standard PCB and monitor to using computer hardware, which is when we started seeing more games, including hi-res. games like photo hunt.

My only advice is, if you get a newer one, make sure you get software with it. Or buy a backup copy on eBay. Youll be needing it when the hard drive goes out.

I have a megatouch maxx Jade 2 that I am putting up for sale.

If you don't care that the bill validator doesn't work, I'll sell it cheap.

$350 plus shipping - depending where you are Fedex ground shipping would run between $70 and $90 most likely.

Go ahead and work out a deal if you want. I am not a big fan of shipping games and its to far for me to drive for one.

Wow, a Jade for $350 plus shipping? I would thing twice before passing on that one. I sold a Sapphire (1 step below) for $1100 in 2007. It will be a while before you get a deal like that again. Just an opinion, believe me I understand the shipping concerns. Also I would recommend staying away from the XLs. They are not as reliable especially if they have the old CD drives.

I just dont trust shipping. Maybe its because the delivery people around here just toss stuff around. I just know my luck. And nothing personal to the seller, but i always prefer to check out a game personally before buying. I have never shipped any of my games.

I can understand about wanting to check out a game in person.
I have almost gotten unhappy deals without looking at it first.

No problem on shooting you a few pictures on this, especially since you are in roundrock.

I just want to unload this touchscreen fast as I have no use for it.
I bought it fairly cheap - it had the crown edition in it, which I swapped out for the jade2 to upgrade my personal touchscreen.

In hindsight, I should have checked first. The upgrade to crown only gave a few more games.
