I just picked up a working Pinbot off of CL....this is my first real pin (BabyPac and Granny and the Gators) and was wondering the cost factor.

In decent shape, plays, worn playfield, cab a little rough. $250 out the door...

Any thoughts? I also need a few good links to repair, maintenance, manual, etc. Any help with that?

Thanks!

Pics to come.

Awesome, man! I saw that on CL last night and was hoping someone on here would pick it up. I think Pinbots usually fetch around $1200. $250 is a steal! Can't wait to see the pics!!

This is one of the few pins I remember my little hometown convenience store/arcade having around back in the day.

Nice score!

Yes, guy wanted it gone tonite! Wanted originally $600, took what I offered. I have NO experience with pinball. This will be a learning experience! Time to Google...

Here are a few pics -

Pinbot is a great pin! Well worth it at that price for sure. Great buy! Congrats! I think Marco sells repro overlay stickers for the multi-colored light boxes in front of the visor.

250 damn, I'am looking now to try and find a project pin around that price, your playfield looks almost mint, great find. Reminds me of a time oh about 2 years back a lady had an add for sale pinball machines called her up and said she dont know nothing about them just her husband died and she needs to get rid of them. I ask how many pins and she said about 12, I got directions and headed over there and what do you know some guy bought all 12 for $800 and these machines were mint as it turns out he was an avid collector. I ask the guy what are you doing with 12 pins, I'am gonna sell'em and make profit, I wanted the Addams Family and the Monster Bash and he up the price right in front of this lady's house $3500 for the Addams Family and $3200 for the Monster Bash. He only paid $800 for 12 I had $700 cash for a pin, I could be owning me some high quality collector pins at a steal of a deal instead this guy sold them as he was for the money and not the family fun as myself, wife, and son. I'll never forget that day, dont blame the guy for making profit but here I was looking for a pin for our family and this dick couldn't part with one for $700.

Thanks for the replies, and Geese, thanks for the sites! I couldn't download the manual at first, had to add it to the trusted sites....gotta love security!

As I said, this is my first pin. I've been around here enough to know it was a smoking deal! It is in decent shape, looking to restore like my games. Who knows....may start a whole new thing for me! :)

I know that guy. Lives on your end of the world. Arcade Barn I believe. He bought some of my games in storage for a song a while back. He was the first one to call. Not a bad guy, just loves $$$ more than the games. To each their own.

Good luck on your search!

Wow, $250 IS a steal, esp. for PinBot. Congrats!!!

I have a Williams pin -- Space Shuttle. Decent condition. I fixed minor stuff to get it working again, so if you need advice on "minor fix" pinball stuff feel free to ask. Saved me about $200 in parts and labor doing it myself.

I think Marco sells repro overlay stickers for the multi-colored light boxes in front of the visor.

Does anyone have any experience with the Marco overlay for the light matrix in front of the visor. My $ 350 Pinbot deal has some wear around those lights and I saw the overlay at Marco but I do not know how to apply it. I am also concerned a bright new sticker will look more out of place than the little bit of playfield wear I am trying to hide. Thanks in advance for any help.

I've seen Pinbots with the decal from Marco applied. I think that the border color is a bit off, but it still looks better than bare wood IMO. be sure you sand or fill the worn area to be flush and flat before applying the decal, ortherwise the groves will show through the decal.
