I have a nice condition Sega Daytona USA. Works perfect. Very clean, no dents or scuffs. A little bit of fade on the marquee.

Uprights are plenty easier to transport/ship, which usually puts an upward pressure on the price... but a lot of people (including me!) don't like upright driving games, so who knows. I would probably pay $200 for a working one, more if I needed the board to resurrect a twin or conversion sitdown... but that's probably below the going rate since I don't want an upright, and if I wasn't parting it out to fix other games, I'd be looking to get rid of it right away, preferably for more than I paid for it.

Stand up? Twin?

Sitdown twins are elephants. I think its hard to imagine getting more than $600 for a twin in mint condition. The market is just too small.

Tell me about that. I took me almost a full 8 hours to disassemble both games (including the monitors)...move them into the basement...and put them back together.

Tell that to the dude at my local flea market who's got a price tag of $1400 on a set and car 2 doesn't even work.

Nice I got a sit down single for 200. Just wanted to know the fair asking price. Thanks!

Wow... these really came down in price in the last few years...

A nice working twin was easily fetching $1500 not that long ago...

I got my twin for $800 two years ago and considered that to be a steal...

The guy was originally asking $1500, ..and had alot of interest ,
but the logistics of moving these beasts scared everyone away ,
so he got desperate he dropped his price to $800 to get them out of his house
before he moved out...

If I could get another working twin for $500-600, I'd consider it...

Then I could race against my 3 boys !

A few years back, original daytonas were still a staple of any arcade/fam entertainment center. Today, not so much.

They go cheap. There was a pair of sit-downs locally that were partially working and wouldnt move at 400 bucks.

Unless you and another collector have a fever for daytona at exactly the same time, they'll go cheap. Everyone is interested until they realize figuring out quantum physics is easier than figuring out how to get these into your house. Think mike mulligan and the steam shovel.

last oct I was at a auction and a sitdown twin parts machine didnt sell for $100 starter and a working twin sold to the shill for $475 I think. Awesome game, just not worth a ton anymore

Interesting this game goes pretty cheaply, I think out of the 5-6 arcades I know around here at least 4 have Daytona. Even the Dave & Buster's here in Philly has a full 8 Driver setup for Daytona, takes up a ridiculous amount of space though.

Is it sad that I have the theme music in my iPhone's playlist somewhere?
