Hello,

I have a chance to pick up a 100% working dedicated Pleiades cocktail in nice condition for $250. Is that too high? He wanted $1k but I threw him a $250 offer not fully expecting him to bite.

Thoughts?

$250 isn't out of line, but $175 could be more like it. It is sort of an "also ran" classic and IIRC the cocktail was a 13" and not a 19". The upright has some pretty decent art and is probably the more desirable form factor.

With that said. I have owned that exact same model of cocktail with a different game in it, and it was comfortable to play on. I wouldn't have any regrets at $250, but it isn't a KILLER deal.

$250 is a very fair price for what you described. It's not dirt cheap, but it's not highway robbery either. In my area, it's nearly impossible to find dedicated cocktails for a fair price; they're all 60-in-1 with several hundred dollars added to the price.

I agree it is a fair price. Also a pretty good game that's getting pretty hard to get because it wasn't one of the big hits.

i picked one up for $150 fully working. i dont think i would have paid any more than that... i do like the game though.... i guess im just not a fan of cocktails... for and upright, i'd probably pay the $250.

Yeah I want the upright because I played the upright. And played the heck out of it bitd. It's kind of historically noteworthy I think due to those animated parabolic dishes at the bottom of the first screen that seem to exist between the back- and fore- grounds, occasionally shooting down an enemy for you. Not sure there was or even is much else like this anywhere else in video games. The boss ship is kind of childishly cartoony, and downright pathetic compared to Phoenix', but it really is a fun game.

I'd give $300 for a good original upright I think. I'm just not really into cocktails. (Wish I was; I'd have way more room if cocktails were the cabs I got jolly for.)
