For those who don't know what I'm talking about, there is a metal band that runs around the outside of the tube. The mounting tabs that bolt to the monitor frame are attached to that band.
On arcade monitors, the tabs are on the side of the band farthest from the face of the tube. On most TV's the tabs are on the side of the band closest to the face of the tube.
Now, once you mount a TV tube into an arcade frame, the tube will sit farther back in the frame, meaning the face of the tube will be farther away from the bezel, and the back of the tube will be closer to the chassis (perhaps touching it which is not good). Therefore, it is necessary to use a spacer of some sort so that the tube sits in the frame just like it did before.
Just wondering if anyone has come up with a good spacer for this? I'm sure I could figure something out if I had to...
