What you get for 30$ when you buy a crap Street Fighter 2 off Craigslist in Dallas
This guy had three games up. Also had Vigilante (wanted 100$? No.) and Sky Soldiers, a SHMUP. Deal was to buy the Vigilante take the other two for free. I have no interest in the other two, no space or otherwise. He's still going to be offering those two for 100$ as far as I know. I offered to come pick up the Street Fighter 2, he requested 30$. Knowing the monitor wasn't coming on and that he said boards were working and you could hear it, I said...Uh..okay!

Hauled it back to the house, got to looking at the cabinet...oh, that's nice. 40% of the front panel that the coin door sits in....replaced with plywood. Entire cabinet had been heavily heavily painted over with black paint. Yay. Control panel fell out on the way home, and so did the bezel glass. =| Speaking of the bezel. It's...Double Dragon? What IS this abomination!!! Okay, well, whatever. Let's see how bad it is.
Plug it in. Monitor makes *no sound at all*. Turned it off. Tried discharging it just to see if there was anything there, nothing. No spark, no noise. All fuses look okay. I'm not a monitors person, I dunno squat about how to test it, I just assume it's not getting power for some reason. Turn machine back on. No sound...well crap? Hit the coin mech, get the coin-up sound, hit P1 start, hear it go to character select, joysticks and buttons are working. Game's playing blind.
Sitting here thinking to myself.... "Hey, you've already got a CPS2 cab. It can't be THAT hard to get this thing mounted and just move over the JAMMA and kick harness." Decided to strip it bare and put everything in my other cab to save space. This one looks like crap anyways. Sitting out in a non-temp controlled shed in Texas weather didn't do it any favors.
So here's what I've got:
Working board.
PSU + JAMMA harness + back door switch + Coin counter all still wired together.
cabinet power harness+power cord with...things I don't really know anything about.
ISO transformer
Double Dragon cardboard bezel (LOL)
Haxxored control panel for a Taito cab that is NOT the original CP, crappy joysticks and
buttons.
Glass bezel pane
G09 monitor that may function in some fashion if someone with half a brain actually gets to work on it. The flyback looks like it's cracked on the side? Screen has REALLY bad burn, looks like it might be Pole Position? What the hell?
SF2 CE Marquee in pretty dang good condition. A few bare spots on the right side, but not bad at all, IMO!
Speaker and flourescent assembly, working.
So anyways, pictures away!
