I know this info has to be out there somewhere, but I can't seem to find with my searches. What year did the HS-1 come out, I am guessing 87 but not sure if that is correct?
Here is the original site... the JPG images are missing but the actual PDF links work.... so check out what you want to look at above then click the same locations on the site below for files to load up.

I've been doing research on this for a while now. I have a rough timeline for most Dynamo cabinets. The HS-1 (it likely was not called the HS-1 back then) is clearly based off of the Data East cabinets imported from Japan used in Karate Champ, Kung Fu Master, Ring King etc. You can search KLOV and you will see i made a few posts noting the differences between the Japanese and two American-made Data East cabinets; one of which were manufactured by Dynamo 1984-1985.
What is not clear is how the "cut" corner panel came to be. I can only guess that this was done with some input by SNK but again, there isn't much online and many trade magazines of that era have gone missing. SNK did make custom control panel for kit games in japan ever since Ozma wars. They made custom control panels for Ikari, Guerilla war, Bermuda Triangle and other rotary games that fit on cocktail and mini candy "woody" cabinets. Whether the American "cut corner" panel was inspired by Japanese panels remains to be seen but it's entirely possible.
Thanks for the replies, I could not find a lot of information regarding the years, I was looking at game that I think came in them as dedicated cabinets and I believe 1943 was the oldest one at 1987? I have a few in storage and just trying to decide what to do with them, I am tuning one into a Ghouls and Ghosts at the moment.
