just got back from a prospect, marquee lights, monitor on, no power to the boards comsmetic shape-good original needs good cleaning, one front corner snapped off no pics.what says you??

that's what i was thinking. i went to see it with someone who was friends with the seller, i know he was looking for good money for it. i told his friend to me it's worth 100.00 tops to me. i thought i was in the right ballpark. thanks..anyone else?

I bought mine dead as a doornail for $50. Reseated the edge connector and it played blind. Dumped the busted and blown MatsuSHITa monitor (had a cracked neck board and a blown flyback), and now its a perfectly working PP. So I say go as low as you can in the sub-$100 range and you never know, it might be just a simple fuse.

depends on the monitor. If it had a matsushita then about 5 bucks max. I'd only be looking for better parts than what mine has in it anyway. With a busted corner on the cab, its nothing special, so its not worth much imho.
absolute max for me would be 100.00. and it'd have to be near mint for that.

When everybody always says "$50" I never really agree, my price scale runs much higher on most games........ but with a Pole Position, it's almost assuredly not going to work. The PCB's were a horrible design and out of 10 or so that I've bought, 1 had a working board... so I'd say $50 is about right. I've passed them up before for $50 and I never do that.

$50 not a penny more. As much as I love this game, you cant get shit for a working one. Had mine listed for 2 months, finally sold it for $175 working!! I know where there are 2 right now for $50 each non working.

I've passed on WORKING PP's for $50. In fact, there's no amount of money I would pay for a working or non-working PP in any condition. God, I hate that game!

There used to be a guy named Greg that worked at Eldorado who repaired those PP boards - he's the only guy I've ever known to have the patience (lunacy?) to work on them. :) In fact, I'm certain that he's the same guy who's behind GLS1 Electronics....

Yeah.... working/non-working PP = $0 as far as I am concerned.

If you knew the board was dead and would need to be replaced and the power boards would need to be rebuilt what would you pay for it? I think that is the question.

There's one guy who's the shit on these PP boards, it's Dick Millikan (spelling?) . He's actually a member here on the board, several people actually have been by his house. He has stacks and stacks of PP boards and all the custom chips and things to repair them, as well as the knowledge to know what's wrong with them.

yeah in my garage lmfao

i actually contacted dick in anticipation of this deal(i do my homework before i take on a project) and he will be getting the board if this goes thru but the seller was talking 300-400 at least, i told him i wouldn't even look at it for that. he than said come look and tell me what you think.i told him it's big project to take on so 100 is my max! to be continued....

I paid a whopping $1 plus tax and fees for a dead-but-complete one at a Superauctions.

I found $2.50 in change inside...

Dumped the Massive-piece-of-Shit-a monitor, sold the boards/harness, and MAMEd that sucker.

It now resides at a daycare facility along with about 10 other arcade games. The kids enjoy the heck out of that game.
