Ok..so I am going to ask a strange question..please don't take it the wrong way, I am just trying to get some feedback from some of the "senior" members here..or anyone, for that matter:

Have three empty cabs. One is a very nice (9 out of 10) original DK cabinet. It has everything in it, including a brand new monitor. Just no board

The second is an empty original Dig Dug. 7/10 on the cab. No major damage or scratches, just a little faded over the years on the side art. Monitor bezel is one of the best I have seen on an original. New CPO added. New monitor. Again, no board

Third, an empty original Ms. Pac cocktail table. Great shape. 8/10. Just added new monitor, glass, and cpo's.

Ok...I have a multi board that has each of the above games on it. I am going to put it into ONE of the above machines and resell it. So, I want to be fair and offer a fair price to someone who buys it. Which machine would be the better one to put the board in??

Basically, I am out of the loop when it comes to the resell market and thought I would get some feedback from you guys and gals!

Thanks,

True (Jess)

I say the dig dug cab, if you are going to 60 in 1 it.

cocktail's are more of a bitch to put the 60 in 1 in into.

Also, you can keep the dig dug control panel almost perfect and still 60 in 1 it.

Hell you could use player 1 and 2 for fire buttons, and not even drill more holes if you wanted to.

Agreed. The real question here is where did you get all these nice original cabs with new monitors and no boards?:D Actually from a resell perspective, the DK or the Ms Pac cocktail would be better choices to multi. But I just couldn't bring myself to hacking up a near mint DK... or any of these cabs for that matter. You could probably buy a working DK board and sell the complete cab for almost the same amount as a multi...

Prior to the arcade market slumping a bit upright 60 in 1's were selling pretty well in the $500-600 range. Cocktails were selling around $800. For whatever reason to the non collector who just wants a single cab with a lot of games the cocktail is more desirable. Depends on your motivation but I would say 60 in 1 the cocktail. It will command more money and it doesn't have unique art so it's easily replaced.

Oh and for the most profit wait until Christmas time to sell. It's just around the corner.

Don't mess up the Dig Dug cab, it looked nice, so did the DK cab... You said the DK cab was Jammatized thoug IIRC....

I would say the Ms. Pac would be the best one.... Although I think the 60in1 boards are junk.

If you plan to sell all three, and only plan to make one a multi-game, then the Dig Dug should be converted because it would sell for the least out of the three if they were all original dedicated games.

I hope you didn't buy these just to convert and sell the insides. There are plenty of already-stripped or converted games to do this to, and you can make a nice profit off of them. I just sold a very nice one a few months back for $1300 with all new paint and artwork....

Thanks for all the suggestions so far...

Thanks guys! I appreciate all the suggestions..

To answer some questions:

I purchased the DK machine with a board and nothing else in it about a year ago. I traded the board because I was actually thinking of keeping the DK and turning it into a multi with a 48 in 1 board. But, I changed my mind...I put a new monitor in it and it already had JAMMA wiring from the previous owner. The original wiring was still there too with the original power supply. It was weird...like the guy was going to turn it into a JAMMA and changed his mind

The Dig Dug was part of a "group" sale. I went to purchase two other games and the guy told me the Dig Dug was empty and did I want it for $25. I said sure...its in nice shape so what the hell...plus, I have an original Dig Dug board I could throw in it at some time..its been sitting there for about 8 months.

The Ms. Pac cocktail was a broken unit I got off CL about 2 years ago. It had no board and a broken monitor. Just gutted it and put a new monitor in and new CPO's and a new Underlay on it. I just got the glass for it last week.

That's the story. I already have a multi cocktail in the house and don't need a Dig Dug or DK right now. Not sure what I am going to do with the cocktail...

Thanks again..sorry to bore everyone with the story...
