just grabbed these to cabs for 100$ gorf is 100% working choplifter is a basket case(2 gameboards in the cab ,monitor is wired getto{wires solderd to vid pins /no molex} ,worked on by palmentre games in kansas {owner stated }and has the worst repair wireing ive seen ever total hack job)

my main ? is what were these originaly
choplifter is getting gutted and rewired (still unshure if its getting mame or jamma rig )
gorf im going to refinish and repair (also going to swap the flight stick from choplifter into it )

looks like the choplifter was some sort of lazer disc game it has info sheets inside for how to setup the lazer disc player and on the front it says lazer games

gorf liiks like some tatio cab but ive seen several gorf machines in this same style cab

The Choplifter was a M.A.C.H. III. Interestingly enough, I once had the same cab with Choplifter in it also.

The other looks like some type or Stern cab...

cool thanks guys lol i think the mach 3 cab does fit choplifter well (is the inner art around the monitor mach 3 art or choplifter )

also as for the other cab i thought stern used a pretty spesfic coin door like this one
(sorry shitty pic)

also i really have to comment on gorf
i never was really to intrested in the game ,saw it one or 2 times looked at it but never played it (just looked like another space invaders clone in a tron type cab )
but man after playing it for a few rounds its actually a pretty sweet game it combines all of the classic shooters into one game

im gladd this couldent pass up deal was on cl otherwise id never know the greatrness of gorf lol

cool thanks again

now what to do lol
im guessing theif is not to rare of a game so io can leave gorf in it for now (untill i can find a real gorf cab in good shape)
but what about the laser game would it be worth it to try and rebuild it (is it a common game)or am i ok with the arcade gods to multi game it

also tore into the choplifter just now and man what a mess

the owner of the game stated he paid 400$ to palmentre games to have the machine repaired.
he said that the tech told him the problem was the monitor so repaired the monitor and also replaced the game board .
after the repair the game worked for about a week then got fuzz on the screen called the tech and the tech came out again charged him 100$ this time(for the service call)and was told the monitor was bad and needed a new one ,

well the tech is a dumb ass cause i hooked the monitor up to the gorf and bam nice clear pic no burn, and other that the techs attmpt to solder the vid output wires directly to the connector pins on the chassis the overall visual apreance is great (for a kortek)

i didi a little trouble shooting and it seems that the cab itself is wired wrong
tested voltage at switcher and edge connector and nothing (actually shorted my multi meter )
pluged in a known working switcher and bam toasted switcher
took my test switcher pluged it into a stand alone wall outlet bam board powerd up and getting correct voltages at edge connector but loud hum is th only sounds and still no pic on screen

im guessing that the cab was re wired by the tech and he fubared it causing the board to fry(i can clearly see the techs splice and tape job)

thanks modessitt

i was actually lucky to get them i called him he said some lady was coming to pick them up
well he calls me the next day and says come get them
the lady drove 1 1/2 hours then tried to offer him 25$ for the pair lol he told her to have a safe trip home lol
cool guy

well mach 3 is about ready for some guts any thoughts on what i should put in it

jamma game /multi board , swap gorf in it (like this cab better than the cab gorf is currently in),or mame

hmmm wonder if i can cram my 25 inch kortek in it
