What was your first pin?

Mine was Flash. Got it about 12 years ago and it's still in my parents basement. I could never have known at that time how huge the iceberg floating below the water would become.

Technically my first machine was a High Speed but sold it after 3 days and being my only pin at the time, the lack of DMD and ramps made me replace it with a Demolition Man. That and perfect timing where someone else on craigslist was looking for one at that time and I made a small profit to put towards my DM. Right now I have 3 machines and if I came across another High Speed for the right price I think it would have a bit more staying power :)

my first pinball machine was a 64 gottlieb bowling queen. i acquired it in 1996 from a local bowling alley. the owner was a very very strict person and SCREAMED at anyone abusing his machines or pool tables. after cleaning it up i expected ALL pinball machines to be in this perfect of condition. i would put it up against any bowling queen out there. plus it was only $100 and worked. later on the same guy called and offered to sell the pinball machine outta his house which was never used in on location. buy this time i learned of all the different names of pinballs and i was DISAPPOINTED to find out it was just a 65 gottlieb bonanza also for $100.......but it is in perfect condition.....perfect cabinet, backglass, no ball marks on the playfield or anything......

later on i began to realize the days of perfect machines for $100 (or any games for $100) are gone for sure

i still own both pinballs

my first arcade game was a crystal castles

I was 21 when I bought a Bally Game Show at a pretty good price. I still have it, but wonder now if I would only keep it because it was the first game I bought.

My first was Black Knight, bought 23 years ago at age 17. Sold it 3 years later, have owned 4 since then, LOL.
My first arcade video game was Zoo Keeper, bought the same year as Black Knight.

My first pinball machine was Evel Knievel back in 1982 or so. I won it from Walker's Pinball Place in southeast Michigan. I was only 18 then and with no internet it was hard to keep interest in it and fix it, so I gave it away.

My first pinball machine that I bought was 8Ball Deluxe, in 1998. That was my only pin for a while and then I started back up last year and have gone through 6 machines since.

DE Jurassic Park, bought 1 month ago. added Funhouse 2 weeks ago. this hobby is so freakin' addicting! :)...

kept it about a year and sold it.....miss it every now and then. i may look for one again in the future.

Paragon - about 3-4 years ago - 20 minutes from my house for $250 - working with thrashed playfield but perfect backglass. Touched up a better playfield, cleared and swapped 2 winters ago - looks and plays great. Now, including 4 current projects, 14.

I wish CPR would hurry up and get those High Speed playfields done... I could use 2.

First EM: Williams Travel Time, excellent condition playfield and backglass, the sides were all peeled to hell though. Traded a wii for it, fixed it so it ran, sold it for $400.

First SS: Elvira and the Party Monsters, it's still in MO though, and not ME :'(. Hopefully here by next week's end. Damn uShip.

WHO?Dunnit in July of 2009.

That started The Sickness.

Ended up selling all of my arcade games - now all pins.

I have eight.

Possibly two more this month.

I need help.

Pinbot sometime around 2000. Had just heard about ebay and found one in Texas for sale. $750. It was the first thing I bought off of ebay and the first thing the guy sold on ebay. Ended up paying a company $500 to get it out of his basement, crate it, and air ship it to Omaha. I still have it.

Indiana Jones (Williams) back in 2003! I just looked it up a few weeks ago and couldn't believe it was so long ago. I added 1 or 2 a year since... and sold a couple. Pics and info about them on my web site.

It wasn't until March of 2009 that I fully took IJ apart and "properly" shopped it. Looking great!

Mechanical bow and arrow about a year ago. I was scared to work on it at first but it is fully working and all the lights finally work.

Dr Who about three months ago. Needed some lights and put a wobble kit on it.

Dracula about a month ago. Not working YET.

Thinking of making my own pin now.
