What was the most popular early Taito back in the day?

My vote would be either Elevator Action or Frontline. I'd probably got with Frontline as I was still seeing it in arcades long after the others left. I remember in the early 90's the only classics I'd see are Galaga, Ms. Pac, Centipede and sometimes Frontline.

I saw Jungle King the most. Qix was second, which seemed funny because a never remember seeing anyone play it.

I saw Qix more than anything else.
Then Elevator Action.
Then Front Line.
Then Alpine Ski.
Then Grand Champion.

I'd honestly go with Qix, since it got ported to so many consoles. Elevator Action, while insanely popular, didn't see a home port until the NES.

All of you are missing it!!!^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

SPACE INVADERS!!!!!!!!
one of the most known games ever! the original one not midways!

Even though it's a Taito game, I saw the 'Midway' version A LOT more than the Taito version.... that's why I went w/ my answer..

Someone mentioned Alpine Ski, thats was another one that was not very abundant in my area (only ever recall seiing one at Ben Franklin dime store).

Taito's Space Invaders was licensed to midway so it is Taitos game.

In Japan it was VERY popular...see trivia---->http://www.arcade-museum.com/game_detail.php?game_id=9662

Technically yes.... This has been discussed many times before. When I see a game that has the company's name on the marquee and sideart.. my opinion, it trumps the maker of the board/game - even though 'technically' it's not.

Some examples...
Pole Position Namco but Atari to me
Frogger Konami Sega/Gremlin to me
Crazy Climber Nichibitsu Taito to me
Track & Field Konami Centuri to me

To be honest, nowadays I see more 10 yard fights! I think that may be because all the better games are either in collections, or were kitted already or something. 10 Yard Fight pops up all the time.

my first blaster was kitted 10 yard fight. I tracked down enough part to put it back to blaster...

I remember seeing a lot of Jungle King/Hunt, Elevator Action,Frontlines & did remember playing a Alpine Ski,Qix,& Zookeeper at a local bowling alley but they weren't as common as the other titles.
