What was a good price for TRON before the movie came out?

I've honestly almost forgotten now. Just wondering so I can compare to prices once the movie hype dies down.

everytime i ever seen tron listed somewhere it was always a bit pricey. i guess most anyone who apperciates old arcade games already knew tron. it wasnt often that i seen a ok looking working one for less then a grand

Tron has always been a high dollar game, at least around here. I would expect to see a working one from $800 on up, depending on condition. I bought mine for $350 with some issues, that was the cheapest I ever found one.

I think I paid $450 and $300 for my two trons.

The parts are so expensive that it makes sense that the game should go for more than $600.

Easily $1000 in nice condition. Beat but working, $400-500. If you want a nice one though the $1000 one is a much better deal though because the repro parts are so expensive.

I gave $300 for mine in June of last year. 95% working. Only issue was 2 light's not working. Granted it was painted blue.....I was lucky on this one. I had looking at 2 others before that one. They were 550 and 600. The pricey ones were not too bad looking either.

I paid $400 for mine, working but beat up. I'd also agree on the usually $600 to $800 for a decent one before the movie...
