Funny, just looking at the title I made a guess that he'd post a pic of a Sinistar joystick.

I have the same joystick, but with the orange ball-top, which is for Arch Rivals.

(And that one looks like a four way that had two of the grommet arms cut off).

Maybe? It only moves on 1 axis, right to left or up to down depending on which way you are holding the stick.

Perhaps it's stuck?

Do you have a row of three opto gates along two sides?

It sure as heck looks like the Sinistar stick, just with a broken centering spider.

yep it was stuck a piece of Styrofoam was in the way. it is a Sinistar stick just downloaded the manual and looked at the view.

What is one of these worth with a half broken rubber band and untested?

I am late to the party but a 2 way opto Williams stick would go to Joust. I see the red ball, and I know that he figured out it was to Sinistar, but since no one chimed in about Joust, I thought I would.

That's a two way joystick from MotoRace USA. They used the same sticks for Joust with blue and yellow ball tops.

MR sticks are about $5-$10 ea., Joust sticks are $20-$25 ea. I think I looked at the shafts and the two way are different from the Sinistar shafts so they are not interchangeable. Otherwise the shaft would be worth $20-$30 on Ebay.

It is always a crap shoot on ebay. I've seen Sinistar sticks go for $75 and I've seen them gor for $5.

Bubbles optical 8 way sticks are the top of the price heap though. I've seen them go for over $100. Bubbles was the only Williams game that used 8 ways.
