I originally registered here 4 years ago but never posted... then I forgot that I had registered and ended up with a duplicate account. It's been that kind of week, I guess. McLemore got everything fixed up for me last night, though.

I know a few people here already but here's my Arcade Life Story anyway:

About 5 years ago I picked up my first cabinet. I'm not sure what it was originally but it had been poorly converted into Mortal Kombat. It was in rough shape and I paid too much for it, but it got me started.

I now have 8 cabinets and 1 pinball. Here's the list:

- Pac-Man Cocktail (original first-gen with Souza's 4-in-1 upgrade)
- Xybots (all original)
- Cruis'n World (originally Cruis'n USA, converted and restored by Chris25810)
- Centipede (with a 60-in-1)
- Relief Pitcher (conversion in some kind of Taito cabinet)
- Battle Arena Toshinden 2 (in a Street Fighter cabinet)
- MAME (in a Street Fighter cabinet)
- Gorf (currently being pseudo-restored)
- Bow and Arrow Pinball

I just got the Gorf cabinet last weekend. It had been horribly converted into Arkanoid at some point and they actually scraped all of the artwork off of the monitor bezel, control panel and the lower marquee. Luckily they left the side-art and backdrop intact.

I'm now working on restoring it... sort of. Cosmetically, it will look like Gorf for the most part but it's going to run MAME. Since the conversion included replacing the joystick with a spinner and drilling a button hole to the left of where the stick goes, I think I'm going to move the spinner to that left hole which will let the game be used for both Gorf and Tron (among others).
