I've got this Mr. Do's Castle in a cabinet with Kangaroo art on the side. It has a freshly capped and beautiful Sanyo 20EZ monitor with no screen burn at all. What would yo do with it? The game probably isn't much of a seller is it? Is there something easy to throw in there that would make it more desirable?

Do what an op would do..... get a roller, black satin paint, and jammatize the cabinet. Toss in a multi-pcb or a single player jamma game.

Or scrap the cabinet, sell the parts. The collectors of Kangaroo probably won't miss it.

What type of cabinet is it? Converted Atari? Is it JAMMA wired? You could try to m****cade it and sell it.

It's probably best to p*** it. You never know when you'll need a nice spare Sanyo 20EZ.

Ok this(p*** it) made me chuckle....:)

Send me the 20EZ. :)

Put some Crystal Castles art on the sides and a Signed Kong Off marquee and you should be able to get 1000.00$ easily. ;)

Slap a regular Mr. Do board in there and I would buy it, except I don't live near close enough. How about some pics.

I would leave the art alone and multi it. It's true that Kangaroo is not on the pcb, but the art is colorful and the game is not named. In the home of a non collector, it's just a colorful cabinet with 60 games. you could use dig dug marquee, bezel, cpo to tie in the theme to a game actually on the board.

1. Sell the 20-EZ to someone with a Nintendo project. Find a Wells Gardner monitor with your new funds.
2. Sell the Mr Do kit.
3. Then you have two options:
-Restore it to Kangaroo (wha?)
-Convert to multicade

You will probably not find all the Kangaroo parts you need, so multi-ing is your best bet. I would do it in a way that it would still be restorable in the future if the CP and wiring are not already hacked up.

2. ? ? ? ?

3. Profit

Here's a few pics. Yes, it's an EZY monitor so to use it in a Nintendo game would, I assume, need some kind of modification. I'm sure it's not a Jamma cabinet. I'll probably end up selling it just like it is. I think it's going to be one of those deals where I don't make any money on it. Perhaps worth more p***ed, I don't know. Would it be worth it to multi the thing?

I've played it a few times but can't figure out what I'm supposed to do. :)

To be honest, I don't think anyone would be offended if you p***ed this thing. It's already a converted abomination. Okay, maybe that's a bit harsh. But no one likes Kangaroo, so no loss there. And Mr. Do's Castle seems like it would be better in a Universal cabinet which I'm guessing is not easy to find.

I think you can make money whether you p*** it or m****cade it. P***ing it is easier and you'd probably be able to make some profit. M****cading it would require investing in a XX-1 plus all of the JAMMA components (if it doesn't have it already). Though, you'd probably make much more that way.

What's a clean, freshly re-capped EZY go for these days?

Object is to clear each board. To clear the board, do one of the following:
- kill all the monsters
- knock out all the cherry blocks
- spell EXTRA
- pick up a diamond

To open the door at the top of the screen, knock out the three keys. When the door opens, grab the shield and all the monsters will turn into EXTRA letters. Diamonds randomly appear after knocking blocks out. You can push the angled ladders left and right. On some paths you'll see two skull blocks. Knocking them both out will knock out all the blocks in between. Use that to your advantage when being followed by several monsters.

I'd keep it Mr. Do!s Castle and wait for a Kangaroo kit to convert it back, then put the MDC kit into a more generic cabinet.

I think it looks good the way it is. That overlay is really nice for having been a coversion long ago. I do not see any rips or or anything. If your ultimate goal is to make money with it, multi is you best bet. Just drill one more button per side of the joy and jamma it. Gonna play some tonight on my 60 in 1. Got me itchin' now.

So if I listed the whole game for sale just as it sits for, say $200, do you think I'd get any bites?

Speaking as a jaded tightwad, I would not pay that, but someone in the general public probably would. If you don't get any bites and don't mind putting a hundred bucks investment in it, multi and relist.

I have pcb, wiring harness and CP for kangaroo.. But I don't think it would be worth doing the conversion..

you probably would be better off selling the nintendo monitor to someone who needed one.. I never could get into mr. do's castle.. Mr do was the better game.
