I recently rebuilt a G07 which was working but needed caps. The old flyback and hot were working fine. What should I do with them? Pitch them? Put them in a box in case one craps out on me?

Keep it. If you ever get a problem chassis and aren't sure whether the flyback is the problem, you can always swap it in as a test. Same thing with the HOT...

Yeah, it's always good to have an extra spare G07 flyback around. Also, don't immediately discount every old G07 flyback as junk - lots of them were replaced over the years, and the replacements are just as reliable as the new ones you buy now. You can usually tell the factory original ones - if they have a label, it'll have a green part on it, and the casing is white as opposed to grey or beige.

And HOTs don't really fail with age - they're transistors. Usually they only blow because the flyback fried them.
