I haven't come up with any good ideas for a good generic CPO to use. I def don't want to use a capcom one.

I've been painting the cab.

Tam..

Glad you found the moppet cuz i can see in your eye when you first saw my moppet =) You was like hey is that for sale!!! my son would love that! LOL!!! Heck your son would!!!!

I got em info SF2HF. I decide to convert it to 3 wonder since it s capcom and matches the CPO.. well.. 6 buttons on each.. .. i just leave it be!! have not decide what to do .. maybe plug in to close those other 3 buttons!.

I plan to install 3 wonder marquee/bezel to make it look more coolest!! and leave the sideart as is!!.

Oh the agony... :D

I saw a Mr Do! in a Moppet cabinet years ago at an auction that looked and played very nice. The cabinet is great for young kids.

I've settled on my theme. Mostly this came from these reasons.

* my kids love bugs, and the side art is awesome.
* all of the art is available and I was able to mix it with a generic space themed CPO that I found on arcade overlays.
* the original cabs were white like how this moppet video was.
* it's one of the games on an AS board and a 60:1 which I may use depending on where my board distribution works out.

despite the moppet roots, having a vert monitor JAMMA cab for 4' tall kids (my 5 year old twin boys) this is awesome.

Sorry WMAC, but your moppet is an abomination. I am a huge SF2 fan where I have 3 SF2 family themed Dynamo cabs and I still can't look at your moppet. The CPO even came from me and it stings my eyes to look at what's done to it. I know you have enough skills to de-convert it. Here's the side art for it that you should use.

I know of one more horizontal monitor Moppet that is for sale. I'm on the fence for it actually. It's cheap and I may still get it, but my main reluctance is that I think that it's ugly and I'm not sure what game I would put in it. I'm on the fence for the 19:1 minus most of the williams games. Having the Mario games would be cool but it's not really a Nintendo-esk cab at all. It sorta looks like a Gauntlet to me.

Where are the bubbles and folds in the side art? I thought that was a must for Moppet conversions? ;)

And I agree, William, dude, you gotta do something about the art scheme on your Moppet.

Looks great man! Your boys are going to love it.

A little bit at a time.

Marquee came FUBAR, gameongrafix stretched it ...

CPO (not original) came out great however.

I wanted something that didn't scream of a game cause it would throw kids off on controls. It's going to be a AS board, 60:1 or Taito Gnet (rotated games)

Tonight the coin door gets rebuilt and shot.

UPDATE:

Still chipping away at finishing this thing up. Tmolding came in and I need to touch up some paint. Back door Top panel, marquee and cut some tinted Plexi till my Glass shows up for this one.
Coin door needs restoration also.

MODERATOR REQUEST

Please move this to the restorations section.

how come i cant find moppet, or video tugboat or leparachan on the klov listings?

I don't think any of the moppet games are particularly good or interesting. I prefer to throw kids right into a real arcade game to feel the pains of a quick death. When I was 8 I played space invaders for the first time and lost my quarter in no time. LOL

My 10% tinted tempered glass came in.
rebuilt the coin door and sprayed it with fresh textured paint
I finally wired it up the coin door, CP, start buttons and test panel (stripped from an outrun)
I then got some poster board from staples ($6 for a pack of double sided boards) and cut myself a cardboard bezel.

Getting tired of classics I swapped in a different JAMMA shooter board and gave it a whirl. I need to swap that stick back to an 8 way for Psyvaria Revision.
