I'm leaving home today for work and I'll be in Minneapolis through the 23rd. Is there anything I should check out? Does anyone wann hang out? Does anyone have a free or cheap dreamcast with a controller I could grab?

If you are into pinball, there is SS Billiards just outside Minneapolis in Hopkins. Also Blainbrook Bowl in Blaine. Blainbrook has 50 pinball machines and a bunch of classic arcade games too. There is also Rusty Quarters right in Minneapolis with a bunch of classic arcade games. Those are the bigger places to go, there are many smaller locations with a few games at each as well.

This is what I did when I was in the twin cities.

It's not fun unless it's dangerous and illegal.

I've lived in Minneapolis almost my entire life and I still have never checked these out. Had a friend way back that used to but then they made it impossible to get in the way he used to be able to so I wasn't able to see them once again. If anyone is ever down to do this (and knows how to access them because I don't) I'm in!

Oh, and like Les stated, Rusty Quarters, SS Billiards, Blainebrook all A+++

Second to Rusty Quarters. Great place.

There's a few bowling alleys that have decent arcades. Mermaid Lanes is one of the better that I've been to.

I have an extra Dreamcast with no cords or anything, maybe a controller for it if you want it... It did work when I tested it last Fall... Lmk.

I was very impressed when I went to Blainbrook earlier this year. I just found it odd that I had to turn on whatever game that I wanted to play as I got there in the early afternoon. Decent beer prices and a ton of pinballs and a few old school games.

One of the moderators over on the NLG forums calls Rock & Roll Bingo over at one of the area bowling alleys. I went over to meet him and put a face with the name and had a blast playing with the college crowd.
