Here's an interesting puzzle of a mystery PCB auction, I've never seen this board before or heard of its supposed maker:

http://cgi.ebay.com/VIDEO-GAMES-GMB...tem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item19ba40908d

Anybody have any clues? Either way I'm not going to bid on it as I've spent enough for now, but I'm wondering if this is one of those extremely rare East Germany oddities like Polyplay? Or is the damn thing even really an arcade PCB?

And no I have no connection to the seller, I'm just curious.

....Looping?

You may be right, I just looked it up on crazykong.com and it does look a lot like a Looping except it's missing the power supply and interconnect boards, or it could be another Ventureline set like Sky Bumper or Meteroids too. Somewhere I've got a complete Looping set and I'll have to dig it up and compare things, if it is I might as well email the seller and give the guy the heads-up.

Either way he's not getting $50 for the thing in the shape it's in, that's for sure.

It's the uberare Bestuck Ungsseite game :D

(Bestückungsseite means component side in german;))

Someone posted a pic of a similar board set not long ago...

I have some board sets from Video Games GmbH, but they are not like that (boardcage), just ordinary PCBs with strange connectors.

My guess is for Looping: http://www.crazykong.com/pcbs/G - O/Looping.pcb.html

but I'm wondering if this is one of those extremely rare East Germany oddities like Polyplay?

Definitely not, Video Games Gmbh used to be a West German manufacturer. The Poly Play PCB is also in a "cage", though ;)

Heh...I think I just trashed a ventureline PS + interconnect board :)

Meteroids is a single board.... Spiders is a single board with a big daughterboard w/ several ribbon cables.

Gotta be Sky Bumper or Looping then, Ponpoko is a single board if I remember correctly. Sky Bumper is rare as hell and I'd snag it on the chance that's what it is if the guy was asking maybe $10 for it, $50 is nutz. Oh and I did email him to tell him what we've figured out, it'll be interesting to see what if any response I get. Hey Hudson did you ever check out that box you found marked "Victory?"

You do realize I've got 40 boxes w/ ~1000 pcbs in my garage, right?
