What the heck is Astro Attack?

You could get "blinker" bulbs back in the day that would do this. Lots of cabarets use small bulbs for their marquee lighting, and every once in awhile you'll see someone here ask why their sign is blinking...

If you want more detail of the can they are in the link earlier. I'll take some of the inside as well. I can see why they put x-wings on it. The game has ships in it that could be x-wings and tie fighters so I'm sure they were wanting to capitalize on that. So yeah, it's space themed obviously. And it's a color game. Gotta get the kids ready for school now so more later.

there was an Astro Attack for the 2600...wonder if it's related to this

There is no Astro Attack listed in MAME, but you can try to use romident to find out the parent roms. I can loan you my rom burner if you will dump the roms. Just let me know. I can probably ship it out tomorrow.

Well I didn't recognize the game but it took about 30 seconds of looking online to figure it out. It appears to be the same (or very close) to Astro Fighter. The "Deco" caption on the screen was a bit of a tip-off there.

I'm just happy this got saved and went to someone who will appreciate it. This so easily could have been thrown in the trash or picked up by a 60-in-1 person it is nice to know it will be preserved. I love these unusual games.
