I'm going to run to Radio Shack at lunch, and was wondering if someone could tell me what size fuse is on the G07 monitor chassis? I think the one on mine is blown and I haven't gotten to get it out of the cab yet.

If anyone has this info readily accessible I'd greatly appreciate it.

I don't have a G07 handy, but the manual says the fuses are 1.25A and 3A 125v. But I don't know if they should be slow blow or not.

They are fast blow pigtail fuse. Your not going to find the correct pigtail fuse at radio shack but you can always mount a remote holder.

I am definitely pulling this out of the game and looking at it tonight. The only thing worse than a game with a good chassis and a busted tube is.. one with a good tube and a busted chassis! I was in the first scenario as of last week, and the second one last night! Argh.

Make sure you discharge both sides of the little fuse if you think it is blown. Be prepare for a big POP when you do. Don't touch the bottom of the chassis around the filter cap until you do.

The small fuse is a 1.25A 3AG pigtail fuse - although Bob usually sends 1.5A fuses as replacements. The large fuse is a 3A 5AG pigtail fuse....

Listen to what mod said! If a go7 has a blown fuse it usually has a shitload of energy stored in the filter cap that will at minimum scare the crap out of you when it gets shorted on the monitor frame when pulling out the chassis.

When you are looking up into the game (Ms. Pac) where the chassis is mounted, the fuse that I think is blown is the one you see at the bottom left of the chassis while it's in its mounted position. It looks black, which is why I'm wondering if it's blown, plus no power appears to be going to the tube (it was getting power before I tried hooking it up to the broken tube that was in there as of last week).

When discharging that fuse, even though I know what's coming, it still makes me jump when it happens...

Same here, a little bit of pee dribbles out every time.

Actually I think that's caused by having a certain STD.. Might wanna get that checked :D

Seriously, I HATE messing with this electrical stuff. You guys have helped me get further than I ever would have on my own, because it gives me the willies. I swear when I do this stuff you'd think I was working on a nuclear reactor- I have latex gloves on under work gloves, safety glasses, the whole thing. I've even contemplated putting on 2 condoms just to have the extra insulation. :D

Actually, when working on a nuclear reactor we never use laytex gloves or thick work gloves. Thin, white collon gloves as well as the rest of your body being completely covered in a layer of anti-contamination clothing (usually it is yellow and we call it a "canary suit") along with rubber booties to reduce the risk of contaminating yourself by stepping in contaminated water is all that we wear...

So do your kids glow? :D

There is minimal radiation exposure from the reactor. Warheads are a very different story, you can actually exceed your federally mandated annual exposure limits within an couple of hours if you are not careful.

My kids don't glow, but like others with high exposure levels I don't have any male offspring...

I don't know if you can blame it solely on that- one of the managers where I used to work had 5 girls. He was a manager of IT in a bank. It just wasn't meant to be for him I guess. He was also bald. I have 1 daughter and I think my hair started thinning solely because of her!
