I think I've had enough of the OEM security screws coming loose on me, and being too stripped for me to be able to tighten down again.

Can anyone tell me what size these screws are, and what you swapped your originals out with (original or otherwise)? There's nothing worse than a sloppy stik... except a limp stik of course. :D

I picked up a box of 10/32 x 3/8 which worked like a charm. They are not security type but works exactly like the originals.

Yes, 10-32 x 3/8" is the original size. If they are stripped, you may not have realized that they are tamper-proof HEX instead of tamper-proof torx. Torx tools don't fit them very well, trust me :). I replaced mine with button-head hex screws, same as Vindog. Ace Hardware has them, among other places.

Argh this may be what is going on. I'm looking forward to getting them OUT. Thanks for the info all!!

OK I ran to the local Home Depot at lunch, and they had the following 2 choices:

1. hex head SOCKET CAP screws in 10-32 x 3/8", or
2. hex head button-head screws in 10-32 x 1/2" or 3/4" (no 3/8 in this type)

Does this mean I'll be needing to make a trip to an Ace hardware instead? I was going to try buying the 1/2" button-heads since it's only an eigth inch longer, but didn't want to do damage to my TRON.
