What should I use to repair the wood on my field?

Hi,

I had a post rip itself out from the playfield while I was playing. It's a "load-bearing" post, it has a rubber ring on it, it looks like it just sort of pulled straight out of the wood and now the hole is a little too big for it to thread back in. Is there a good product I should use to fill this hole in, one that will be strong enough to be re-drilled? The only thing I can think of is bondo, but it seems like overkill for such a tiny hole.

Any recommendations?

Thanks very much,
Ryan

Replace the screw in post with a bolt-in style post. It will be a slightly thicker post and uses a lock nut on the bottom side. I have done this before and works great.
