I have a Die Hard arcade cab with a nice 25inch monitor and I was thinking on converting it to something since its not a great of a game and has a nice cab. I have 2 differant options I was thinking of

Option 1: Put my Neo Geo slot 1 system in it and buy 150 in 1 cart and convert it to neo geo, I have new generic overlay that will work on the control panel and get one of the custom 150 in 1 marquees. this will be my cheapest option since i have everything already i need for it except the 150 in 1 cart

Option 2: mame it and buy a nice dual core pc and a arcade vga, keboard encoded and a bunch of misc stuf...

im leaning towards neo geo, i know its not a neo geo cab but it should look good and be a easy build and a fun system to play

anyone have pics of conversion done to these plastic molded die hard cabs?

Though I'm drooling at the prospect of somebody putting up a Sega STV for sale...

STV is cart based. Why not just get some more carts for it? I love neo geo....but why do the extra work when you can just play stv games?

450-1 or Neo-Geo.

I don't think there is enough STV carts to make it worth it keeping the cab STV dedicated. Besides the best carts on the STV are pretty damn expensive not to mention rare.

Yes exactly!! Very few games for it unlike neo geo which has tons and easy to find and cheaper. It would be a easy swap, just add one more button and wire it up and get a 150 in 1 cart and put a new overlay on, would be a nice system to play fighters and metal slugs on with the crisp 25inch monitor
