Really can anyone explain to me why I should change my balls in a pin.

Are they not harder than all the other objects that they bounce off of during game play·.

Nicks, dents, and scratches are like sandpaper to the playfield. You can put your balls in a polisher or use a buffing wheel to shine them, but if it is not back to a perfectly smooth and mirror like finish you are causing wear.

Nothing compares to a fresh coat of wax and a mirror ball. Just how the ball acts and swirls on the wood is hella impressive.

Being $1-$2 a ball it is a very worthy investment for sure.

I've seen so many playfields damaged by dull, dinged balls :(

Some machines that get a lot of play I've replaced the balls every 3-4 months!

Yep, waxing the playfield and keeping good balls in your machine is much akin to changing the oil in ones car.

Very affordable maintenance!

Thanks for the info everyone, much appreciated.

Like the video clip says "old balls gross".

Time to get me some new balls for the pins, as for the other old balls well I'll keep them around for a little while longer :)
