So what rejuvenator and test pattern units are you guys using? Current manufacture or old antiques? Ebay? I scored a degauss coil for less than $14 shipped, not need a test generator and rejuvenator unit.

I use a B&K 470 rejuvenator myself which I snagged on eBay for around $50 bucks. It's an older model, but not sure how old it is. It works great, but I've had to make all my own adaptors since it didn't come with any common ones used for many arcade game monitors. I'm sure others will chime in and share what they use, but B&K and Sencore are the two big names you'll hear about. I don't have a test pattern generator and not sure if I'd ever buy one. I have a JAMMA test setup I can use to feed video to a monitor if needed.

For test patterns I'm using a handheld box I got from tequipment.net, you can find an old thread discussing it here:

Another way is a jamma harness an Atari Tetris board, only because its small and makes nice test patterns.

And as for the rejuv, definitely the B&K mentioned above is what most people use. Note that that there is a big difference between the 470 and the 460, so anything 470 or newer depending on how much you want to spend.

Funny, I just so happen to have an Atari Tetris board! I just put it in a hor cab to check out the monitor a week ago...great idea to just use it.

So you are not a big fan of the 466 then?

I have the 470 and I love it. I've checked about a dozen tubes so far and only 2 tubes had bad or dirty guns.
