What rare games are the most sought after by collectors

What rare games do you think are the most sought after by collectors? For what I've read I'll name a few:

- Bouncer
- Sundance
- Barrier
- Major Havoc dedicated
- Marble Madness II
- Death Race

EDOT, to a certain degree.

This is way too general of a question. There are maybe a handful of games out there that are really difficult to find otherwise, the rest are obtainable if you open your wallet. Alligator arms will forever keep you in sought after mode.

Always a subjective subject :) ...

I'd add Quantum to the list. Not super rare, but somewhat rarer certainly.

People who play mine very often proclaim their heartfelt desire to own one thereafter :D .

As Chris mentioned, a number of the expensive sought after games are not that hard to find or obtain for a fair market value. When it come to games that are truly rare, there seem to be two catagories IMO. There are the games where very few were made but have gotten into the hands the the right collectors and gooten good word of mouth and in some cases exposure via events like CAX. These games tend to be few and far between , sought after and very expensive. Rock ola Demon and Varkon come to mind. On the other hand, some rare, low production #s games are unknown to most people. There are some titles that even most collectors have never played or seen. Some of these games are truly rare with extremely low production numbers yet if found can actually hold little value due to the fact that few people know or care about them.

Most Vectorbeam / Cinematronics games are pretty rare. Warrior, Barrier, Sundance, Cosmic Chasm...

Call me crazy, but I would like to own a Barrier machine. I actually kind of like the gameplay. Sweet cab as well.

I have owned a barrier. I can honestly say, if anyone wants one, they need therapy.. The game is beyond horrible.. The only redeeming value its the cabinet artwork. Beyond that, its the 22" monitor for parts to fix a sundance..

If your going to have any cinematronics games on the list, boxing bugs and cosmic chasm deserve to be on it, but the one that would be is warrior.

Beavis and Butthead would love to try this game.... or even own one but I suspect its not in the cards.

I, Robot
War of the Worlds
Warrior
Warlords CT
Eliminator CT
Major Havok
Quantum
Any Laserdisc game
Star Wars CP
EDOT
Journey
Tapper
Timber
Chiller
And a plethora of Jamma games like Night Slashers, Splatterhouse, Xexex, Nebulasray, anything by Cave.

Of course, there are probably many, many more. But those are the major ones that come to mind.
