What pinball theme would you want Jersey Jack Pinball to make?

Caddyshack
Cannonball Run
NHL
Sons of Anarchy
Lamborgini
Jaws (im actually thinking of doing a custom job for this one. Just need to find a good donor game)

Disney Villians. and I guess they could do the "Nascar/GrandPrix" "Family guy/Shrek" thing and change the artwork and also have a Disney Heroes.

With all this talk about Steve Ritchie joining Stern and the wonderful thread about 'What would you want Stern to make?', I think it's time to talk about JJP and what they should make.

From my limited understanding, JJP is more willing to make non-licensed themes, so some of the suggestions from the Stern thread (like making one about trains, which I think would be awesome to attract young boys to pinball), seems like it's more likely for JJP.

However, JJP also wants to make more complex games with deeper rule sets, so maybe they wouldn't want to make a game aimed at kids? Or can it do both?

Anyway, I'm excited about WOZ and excited that Stern hired Ritchie and let's hope that we get some really fun and collectible pins made in the next few years.

My pinball theme suggestions:
* The trains idea is really good. +1 on that

* Commodities/Stock Trading. You could do something to be offered a trade and you have 1 second to hit that target but then it's sold. You would buy and hold positions (by spending points) and decide if you want to sell them or not (like the roulette in Who Dunnit) and the prices keep getting better, but if you end the game, you can't sell them (worth 0). So, how far do you push it??? The big multi-ball at the end would be a big market correction or huge bailout. Also, trading firms have a lot of money and nice game rooms and they'd all want one.

* Pinball Designers! How about a machine that has like 300 easter eggs in it and you have to get as many famous designers to design your pin or come to your pinball conference or something. Some theme that celebrates and recognizes the designers and puts their faces and voices on the game (all wearing DOHO shirts and riding cows.)

* Evil Mad Scientist. You want to take over the world (i'm tired of always SAVING the world in games!), so the modes are "building a earthquake/hurricane machine" (pin will need shaker motor), "unleashing super hackers" (crazy stuff happens on the DMD), "shut down the grid" sections of lighting get shut down on the playfield), etc. The backglass is a world map that changes colors (Red, Yellow, Green) for each region/continent that you're affecting and hurting (say shutting down the grid hits Europe harder than Africa).

Ok, what are you ideas?

How about Total Recall. Since the remake is close to release. They could use the original 2 cabinet design by Data East as was at the Pinball Expo 10 years or so ago. I know it would be way too expensive, but a thought.

+1 for the train idea. I think with all the interest in the world today ZOMBIES could be a really cool and profitable theme. Sound, gameplay, art and toys could be over the top with a ZOMBIE theme.

Mine are different:

"The IT Crowd" - The real best sitcom ever!
"The Three Stooges" - Original - not new.
"The Monkees"

that sounds like a super idea for a non-licensed pin..

on the licensed front, i agree with a couple above, Toy Story, and I would love to see The Cannonball Run / Smokey and the Bandit type game....

Futurama.
"Bite My Shiney Metal Ass!"
"Slurm Rules"
"Whack the Parasites"
"The Whirlpool of Oldness"
"Planet of the Giant Amazons"
"Remember Me"
"Merry Xmas"
"The Robot Devil"
"Planet Delivery"
"The Brain Monsters"
"Lur from Planet Omicron Seven"
"the mutants"
and on, and on and on....

No end of subjects for toys, things to shoot at and levels.

Funny you say that, I had the same thoughts. Like maybe a mode where there are approaching zombies on the DMD and you have to hit specific targets to kill them all off, otherwise they eat your brains, flippers go dead and the ball drains. Could be fun.

Even though it's licensed I'd love to see a generic Marvel pin. So much to mine from in that universe, could be awesome.

I think a WWII dogfighting pin would be sweet too, 'Fighter Squadron' or something like that. Like F-14 only way cooler. Could incorporate different missions types (bomber escort, dogfight, ground attack..) into the modes. If done right I think that could be a real winner.

I'm no pin designer, but I think an amusement park themed pin would be pretty cool. Something that encapsulates what it's like to be in the midway at a carnival or festival. You could have endless sideshow games, a lower level with a merry-go-round, all kinds of crap.

Think about the rides you could incorporate: Tilt - a - Whirl, Scrambler, Bumper Cars, etc.

Circling the whole machine could be a HUGE mess of Roller Coaster tracks, loops, tunnels, etc. All kinds of madness for multiball fun.

A guy can dream, right?

I've played Cyclone - it's fun as hell. The Blackout on Comet is cool too. Love that million point shot.

I still think that if we were to get a newer DMD with lots more toys, the amusement park theme could really be done up well.

I think the big lebowski would be the shit. You could make some sort of hybrid with a mini strikes and spares playfield for when the dude rolls his way into the semi's. There could be some really cool gameplay involved. The music and voices would be epic.

Licensed:
Jaws
Karate Kid
Big Lebowski
Moonwalker

Unlicensed:
Waverunner Beach

And of course last but not least, the mighty Point Break with Keanu Reeves.

+1 for Big Lebowski
Timeless classic theme, collectors would love it, the movie lovers would love it...
