What pinball theme would you want Jersey Jack Pinball to make?

With all this talk about Steve Ritchie joining Stern and the wonderful thread about 'What would you want Stern to make?', I think it's time to talk about JJP and what they should make.

From my limited understanding, JJP is more willing to make non-licensed themes, so some of the suggestions from the Stern thread (like making one about trains, which I think would be awesome to attract young boys to pinball), seems like it's more likely for JJP.

However, JJP also wants to make more complex games with deeper rule sets, so maybe they wouldn't want to make a game aimed at kids? Or can it do both?

Anyway, I'm excited about WOZ and excited that Stern hired Ritchie and let's hope that we get some really fun and collectible pins made in the next few years.

My pinball theme suggestions:
* The trains idea is really good. +1 on that

* Commodities/Stock Trading. You could do something to be offered a trade and you have 1 second to hit that target but then it's sold. You would buy and hold positions (by spending points) and decide if you want to sell them or not (like the roulette in Who Dunnit) and the prices keep getting better, but if you end the game, you can't sell them (worth 0). So, how far do you push it??? The big multi-ball at the end would be a big market correction or huge bailout. Also, trading firms have a lot of money and nice game rooms and they'd all want one.

* Pinball Designers! How about a machine that has like 300 easter eggs in it and you have to get as many famous designers to design your pin or come to your pinball conference or something. Some theme that celebrates and recognizes the designers and puts their faces and voices on the game (all wearing DOHO shirts and riding cows.)

* Evil Mad Scientist. You want to take over the world (i'm tired of always SAVING the world in games!), so the modes are "building a earthquake/hurricane machine" (pin will need shaker motor), "unleashing super hackers" (crazy stuff happens on the DMD), "shut down the grid" sections of lighting get shut down on the playfield), etc. The backglass is a world map that changes colors (Red, Yellow, Green) for each region/continent that you're affecting and hurting (say shutting down the grid hits Europe harder than Africa).

Ok, what are you ideas?

I would hope he make a pin with a boardwalk theme. the toys could be rides that you find at the boardwalk. sky ride, log flume, himalaya, parachute drop, bumper cars, or boardwalk games like wheels, cranes and stuff.

his shop is twenty minutes from the shore, and the point pleasant boardwalk, that would be a cool pin to do.

an original concept is what id like to see. maybe somthing with a space theme.

How about Porn Stars , Shoot for Her Toys.
Joke!
Go Ahead and Bash me.
But it would be cool If the wife would let it in the House.

yeah i love the 80's and am i nerd

Non licensed themes

Best of America - Top 5-10 american states/monuments/things

Las Vegas theme - All the vegas attractions, roulet wheel spinner, NYNY hotel coaster ramps, Pinball HOF tie in?, Luxor hotel

Time Travel / History theme - Major scenes /events in time, maybe a "similar" trick shot like TOTAN for Past, Present, Future

Generic Superhero theme - Either licensed or not, Example look how popular the xbox live Marvel tables are!

US President theme - 44 drop targets and/or goals for each president to unleash the fury of a 44 multi-ball madness, could include things like democrats vs republicans scenarios, etc, maybe even blue and red colored balls

Licensed Themes

Goonies - Yes gameroomjunkies mentioned it on their podcast but Ilve been thinking about this one for awhile, One eyed willy, come on, Chunk, treasure map, cyndy lauper playing theme music, pirate ship, Data with all his gadgets in the game! What more can someone ask for!

Quantum Leap - Uh time travel what I am missing here, awesome history scenarios again, Oh boy, thats gold !

12 Monkeys - Come on time travel (sucker for this) brad pitt, bruce willis, naked men, come on...do it....come on

Watchmen - Either this or any other non main stream comic book, others Fables, Y the last Man, Walking DEAD (generic zombie pinball, hello)!!!!

Nintendo? - Mario, Donkey Kong, Zelda, need I say more

Seinfeld - best sitcom ever, george and the frogger episode

Big Bang Theory! - next best sitcom ever

Alright now that i put these ideas out there i have full rights to sue, or ssshh 'free' pinball machine or 20 would suffice as well.

I know you were joking, but it would be interesting to have a more adult-themed pin than Elvira's innuendo. Not necessarily the pinball version of Gal's Panic, but at least have the theme be more adult-oriented.

These are some pretty nice ideas.....that will never be implemented. Boo!

You guys watching the Ben Heck show at all? He's the guy that made the Bill Paxton pinball. Well he is making another pin on his show called pinball wars. This week he showed his self designed CPU board. I tell you if he mass produced that the sky's the limit on what could be made. Really easy to re theme a pin with that board.

Check it out here

How about a pin like Alien Poker one of my Favorite Back Glass Cleanings
She Is Ugly, But Sweet. I love the game, Great game Play and A Very nice chest to top it off. But it has to be put into a GNR Type PlayField, I love to Clean that One.
With a Bally Truck Stop Attitude
Now That would be A Game.
Multi Ball Would be for Making each Shot to Have a Wet Spot Until they all.
Orgasm Together.
Sounds Anyone.

Beer. Is there already a beer-themed pinball?

If a license could be secured, Stone Brewery has a gargoyle mascot that reminds me a bit of Gorgar; I think they could come up with some excellent art for a pinball machine incorporating that gargoyle.

That sounds fun to me. To go BIT alittle Get Smart with KAOS action.

Since they seem to be willing to make pins with more than 1 toy i would like to see them take on an AC/DC pin.

Now that could have some cool toys, modes and multiballs.

I'm not a Guns and Roses (band) fan, but I love GNR pinball and own it. I think the rock band them works really well.

There is probably a list somewhere of every band pinball, but off the top of my head, there is:

GNR
The Who (Tommy)
Rolling Stones (twice)
Elton John
Monster Bash (ha!)
Kiss
Elvis
probably a bunch of others

And I think there are probably a bunch of bands that people totally love and would want a pinball machine for:

AC/DC is a great first choice
Beatles
Grateful Dead
Johnny Cash
Neil Diamond
The Rat Pack
Abba (hilarious)
Michael Jackson / Jacksons
American Idol

Harry Potter - I think the author nixed the idea.

Dr. Seuss - I think this could be a lot of fun. Nordman is a ramp king; think White Water.

The Muppets - Too much good stuff here. Aside from the obvious characters ... Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem (Animal), Pigs in Space, Swedish Chef, Statler and Waldorf, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew & Beaker, Muppet News Flash, etc. ... and of course, Marvin Suggs

How about one that is affordable, something in the 4K range :D
paying upwards of 7K for a pin is just ludicrous, sure others
will agree, JJ may just be a pin mfr. for the rich and famous.

Pinball machines when sold new back in the day cost around the same, at least here in Australia. With inflation etc I am surprised they do not cost more now.

You have to remember these are brand new pins and not 20 year old pins that have been sold 20 times in their lives. Eventually these new pins will come down in price to second hand pin levels again.

I have no issue with them charging 7k for a brand new pin if it keeps the last remaining pinball manufacturers in business.

+1 for the Muppets!!!
Every time you miss a shot, Statler and Waldorf mock you!? That would be awesome.

I'm not opposed to the idea of having JJ mix in some $4k machines that are simpler and have less stuff for that market, but overall, I like having the option for new $7k machines that are awesome. There are already 1000 titles that I can buy for $1k and less and a lot of them are like new.

So if they do make some more affordable machines, I hope its in addition to the high end machines, not instead of some high end pins.

Here is my top 10 list in no special order

- pixar
- star wars
- avengers
- i like the beer idea
- legos
- hot wheels
- super man
- x-men
- starcraft - small market for this but I would order one in a heartbeat!
- HALO
