Thanks. I like the "never been done before" theme here Phet.
Yes, never been done would most definitely get some 'look at me' factor going.
I kid.

You should have grabbed some pics. The DK mini is well known, but there is also rumored to of been a very small number of DK Jr.'s made in a mini cabinet. Unfortunately, Todd and I are still looking for one or at least good pictures of one. There wasn't a Jr.? I saw a Jr. cabaret back in August. Star Worlds Arcade had it. So I'm guessing it's not original?

The minis found to date have been conversions, Crazy Kongs or bootlegs.

EDIT: okay, here it is. The pic is from my phone and it was really dark in the room. Had I known, I would've taken a better one, but I was just trying to get a bunch of machines in the room. The Jr. is the first machine on the left. The cabaret marquee is kind of hard to make out, but it says KONG (star) JR. There is a piece of paper with some info on it about Star Worlds that is obscuring the top of the machine from view. Crappy pic, I know, but at least it shows I'm not just blowing smoke.
Looks like a conversion of a Taito Trimline cab. Cabinet shape, CP, marquee area, coin door and monitor all match.
Interesting. I wonder where he got the KONG * JR marquee for it. I'll have to ask the owner all about it the next time I speak with him.

I'm talking from the classic era. I am not into the newer stuff as much. Were Gamecubes in arcades?
As for game choice, Sky Skipper or Super Punch-Out would be cool, but you couldn't do the dual monitors.
If you can ever get better pics, including the insides, that would be great. The marquee looks similar to Atari cabarets, but the cabinet looks laid back like a Pac-Man mini (ah, read the rest of the thread and it may be a Taito trimline). As for the name, if memory serves King Jr. was a bootleg similar to an Orca bootleg (like others said, one board).I'll see what I can do.

I agree with you on this, nothing new ish. Oh and Gamecubes were in arcades, Nintendo called them Triforce.

Yeah, the one at Star Worlds, the cab itself was made by Taito, and it has a bootleg "Donkey King Jr" board in it (note: "King", not "Kong"). It's a long single board instead of the 2-board stack that Nintendo used (I have one of these boards too).
The mini cab is still cool, though...even if it's a bootleg.
I still say you should just multi-Taito that bitch and call it a day.Taito Trimlines are sturdy and well-designed (except for the speaker area), with a good viewing angle, and good controls on the games.
I need to get my Elevator Action mini to the point where it's not stinking up my apartment, so that I can play it. It's like living next to a high-tension wire with that ozone smell!

Hi guy! Popeye cabaret, DK3 Cabaret, Mario Bros Cabaret, SMB cabaret, Vs. Castlevania Cabaret and most likely DKjr Cabaret-
-Never been done. That's the point.
