need a new chassis for a silent scope 2 dark ( i cant spell the rest), it has a wg k7500
and i would like to just buy a new one, what one will work and were can i order it from?
the k7500 just displays a line across the screen,am going to try a cap kit , thanks Ron

Unfortunately, there really isn't a replacement option. WG no longer supports that monitor. You'd have to replace the entire monitor with a triple-sync monitor.

Now, it possible that a universal chassis might work for the medium-res:

You'll have to call them and give them some specs on your current tube. They can tell you the price. You'll have to adapt the power connector, yoke connector, and possible even the video connector, but it will be new and it will work....

on the klov main page when i search silent scope 2 it says stand rez monitor, but when i took the chassis out, there was a sticker on the metal plate of the monitor that says replace with a wg 7500 only and that is med rez ?

A K7500 is a medium-res, yes. Whether or not your monitor is med-res remains to be seen. Sometimes operators change out monitors and reuse frames so that the new monitor will fit. Also, a U5000 dual-res was released as a replacement, but there were problems with it and they went back to the K7500.

If your chassis IS a K7500, there will be a sticker on the back left corner of the chassis near the video connector that says WGM2575 (for a 25" K7500) or similar.

If your sticker is missing, post a pic of the chassis here...

Can also identify it by the "Pxxx" number on the main chassis. If it's a 7500 then it would be like "P793".

(neckboard will have one also, different number though)

Silent Scope is a medium resolution game. KLOV has several errors in their descriptions of games.

good to know , and it is a 7500 thats in it , going to do a cap kit, prob not going to help with vert deflection but i have to try, also this has no iso trans is that the norm thanks Ron

Check out the troubleshooting info at Wells-Gardner's website:

thanks ken , i read through that last night, i looked over the board and it looks like d302 is missing/broke its a rv-2 1a 600v fast rec , but when i replaced it with what i thought was the same one , r303 started glowing red ,so im not sure

I would suggest changing all the electrolytics in the 600 block of the chassis, change U601, check D302 and R303 (which it sound like you have already done). Your resistor is probably getting hot because your vertical IC (U601) has gone bad. Weak electrolytic capacitors can cause stress on this IC (more so on the U5000 series). Also that diode is an RU-2 not an RV-2.

anyone want to make some cash fixing this pos? or know were i can send it ,i heard or read chad is a few weeks wait and i need this thing fixed asap.Ron

Don't quote me, but anytime I've ever dealt with Chad, if you ask him nicely to put a rush on it, he has....

Chad is one of the good guys in this industry.

I call Chad up semi-regularly, he always takes time to answer whatever absurd questions I have for him. sometimes I'll ask about 5 different model monitors in one conversation. lol, poor guy always listens every time too. :)

he said he is super busy again, cause I told him what a dickhead I am and haven't shipped a chassis back to him yet. he does do the rush processing too though, he did it for a friend of mine that needed to get a game running on route ASAP, had it handled within a few days. I'd call him in advance to ask him if it's ok though, I don't know how backlogged he is.

click on the user's name in their post, a box will pop up. then you can select PM from there. otherwise, if you click the Search button up top and click on Advanced Search, there's a field on that page where you can enter a user's name, then that can take you to their page, and under the Contact tab you can select PM from there too.

hope that helps.
