Have an opportunity to buy this bad boy, but the guy doesn't know what model it is (looks like he doesn't want to dig it out of storage to answer my question!). Can anyone tell me definitively what model this is? I'd like to investigate what I'd be getting myself into (though he says it works with the old bills).

I'm hoping it cleans up good, but it looks like it may have some serious scratches.

two votes for bc-25.
many hours spent cleaning those hoppers and chains.

Can anyone give me a rough estimate of the weight, especially if I yank out all the easily removable interior parts? Dimensions would be great too if possible.

My is trapped in my garage, but it did fit in the back of a Chevy Equinox and had room to close the door. Needed two people to lift it, so around 100lbs maybe. Sorry I cannot be more help. :p

I'm not really concerned about size/weight from a moving standpoint. I'm just trying to figure out my options if my trailer is too full, or how I'd be able to fit everything in my trailer.

I found dimensions for a BC-3500. Are these roughly equivalent to what a BC-25 would be?

Dimensions: Height: 51.56 inches (130.97 cm); Width: 27.87 inches (70.80 cm); Depth: 19.25 inches (48.89 cm); Weight: 275 pounds (124.74 kg)

Havok: I'm certainly assuming that's possible, because that's my plan. If not I'm in trouble! :p

BC-3500 used the identical cabinet for the BC-25, so your measurements should be the same. Weight is probably closer to 300 dead-weight, these things are built like a steel safe!. You most likely have a BC-25 there, but the BC-20? 12? 8? (I can't rmember) used the same cabinet with some differences. If it's a 25, you're in luck, because there is a ton of info out there floating around on those machines, and parts are pretty readily available.

Just measured mine 19D X 28W X 48H

Yes you can run .984's as I'm currently running them. Though I only have 1 hopper that works with them. There are 2 types of hoppers Quarter and smaller and Quarter and larger. You can mod the standards to take the large coins. You have to take the hopper all apart and do quite a few changes. I found a link a while back. I'll have to see if I can find it again.

Found it http://www.eastcoastamusements.com/images/uploads/brunopdf/Rowe_Bill_Changer_Hoppers.pdf

Also the BC35 and 3500 share the same case. They are high capacity hopper models. So slightly taller than the 25. The BC25's hoppers will work in the 35/3500 but you loose the high capacity (duh). Anyway with just my 1 hopper I have over 1000 tokens in it and I think I should be able to fit at least another 500.

I'll even take it a step furthur and say thats an OTC "Monitor" automotive scan tool sitting in the case next to it. If its a 4000 or newer and he wants to sell it, let me know. They're not worth a whole lot at this point.

Nope. This is out in the boonies in an undisclosed location. :D Why, are there some available locally?

Trying to move one of those loaded with quarters/tokens is nearly impossible btw, lol. I've rolled them across bowling alleys before on a handtruck, NOT my favorite thing to do. They make kits too to make these machines have newer bill acceptors in them, but even the old, old bill acceptors take the same 1's since they haven't updated that currency yet. You just may not be able to update it to take 5's unless you kit it.

Got 'em today. They're BC-20's. No time yet to look into that model. Is that a good model too? Anything bad about that one vs. something like the BC-25?
