Looking to get a cap kit for this chassis, but I can't find the model number anywhere and can't find ANY cap kits for ANY Kortek chassis'. I can't adjust the vertical size. Ruled out the remote harness with continuity checks. Ruled out the pot by installing a new one. Only thing left is something with the chassis itself. Planned on starting with a cap kit because the colors are washed out anyway. Any help would be appreciated....

Damn. Still don't see the exact model I have in any of the reference material you provided. I'll keep digging.

Thanks a ton Ken. This is the only one I can find that resembles mine as much as possible...

Just gotta find a cap kit now.

Edit: Bob Roberts has this exact kit.

Ok, so after much research, I could not find a cap kit for the EXACT model of Kortek that I have. The one pictured in my last post was not the correct one after all. It was mentioned to me that the model I have is a "mirrored" version of the K7000.

This actually turned out to be true! I ordered a K7000 cap kit and proceeded to install it. Not only did 95% of the caps match, the numbers/locations matched too! There were only 3 caps from the K7000 kit that I couldn't find homes for, but they were the smaller ones. All the crucial ones got changed. I can't recall who tipped me off that this was a "mirrored" K7000, but whomever you are, thanks a ton!

On a second note, as I mentioned in the very first post, I have never been able to adjust the "V. Pos" on this damned thing. I removed the remote board from the harness and plugged it directly onto the chassis. Nothing. I replaced the pot. Nothing. So while I had it out doing the cap kit, I began ringing the traces for the V. Pos and found that they went to Q9. To my amazement, it read shorted.

As luck would have it, I have two extra K7000s that I use for parts. I robbed Q9 from one of them, installed it in the Kortek and....Presto! V. Pos works great! Just wanted to share my "repair log" in case anyone else has related issues or needs a cap kit for this model Kortek.

Thanks - Mike.
