I recently picked up a nice wizard of wor but do not like the feel of the joysticks at all. Thinking of swapping something else in there, perhaps some sanwa's or nos wico's if I can track some down. What kind of joysticks do you guys have in yours? Does anyone know what the originals were?

Thanks,
Tom

Pretty sure they are 4-way Midway joysticks, like Pacman and Ms. Pacman. They may need new centering grommets.

Thanks guys and thanks for the pics :) do the joystick balls have a rough texture to them? I'm gonna pull the cp tonite to see exactly whats in there :)

make sure you have the leafs right, too, though before switching. wizard of wor uses a double leaf switch so you can turn without moving to fire. you may want to just rebuild them and see if that feels better.

For the record, all these midway sticks were textured. If you see one that is smooth its because its worn down from use.

Yup, same housing and stick as Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, BurgerTime, etc., but with a different leaf switch stack.

heh yeah that is one funky design, just like Gorf. When I received WoW, the protruding neck prevented me from laying the cab on its back to apply casters. I had to tilt the cab one side at a time to get it done :(

Yes, its a easy cab to haul and move around , the only drawback is the kneck of the monitor sticks out

Oh cool, very good to know! Turns out I've got a burgertime literally 3 feet away so it will be easy to compare when The WoW cp is pulled :)
