On a lot of plastic parts I usually use my Zap-a-Gap CA+ glue but even though that gives me a good solid bond it tends to fog clear plastic parts. What do the rest of you use to avoid the fogging but still get a strong bond?

There is a product called Plasti-Zap that might work better...I've heard it helps with gluing clear plastic parts, but haven't tried myself.

Also, if you keep a fan/hair dryer blowing on it while the part cures that could help. This will also keep the air dryer - super glue cures with moisture, and the fogging is caused by moisture in the air curing the glue vapors.

I don't know what type of plastic the ramps are, but if you can find that out you can lookup the best glue to use on them. I suggest emailing a glue manufacturer like Zap or Loctite and ask them which of their products they recommend and describe your issues. They're usually very, very helpful - I've dealt with Loctite on the proper products to use for certain automotive applications and they made some good recommendations based on metal types, temperatures, stresses seen, etc.

I've always found that the real clue is to use as little glue as possible. That seems to be where a lot of problems stem from - both in time it takes to dry, and the possibility of puddles or smearing.

Thanks for the info. I ended up just using zap-A-gap and a fan to keep the fumes down. It only fogged the place where the two pieces went together, not the best results but it will do. I may contact zap as you suggested and see what they suggest for future repairs.
