I have a test bench with a vga converter hooked up to an lcd monitor. I also have a desktop pc that I connect to that same monitor. I want to be able to use either one without having to unplug the vga cable from either device.

I'm sure there's some kind of switch that will do this?

Riptor has something hook up to his computer that uses two monitors at same time but that is two monitors to one computer. You want to switch from computer monitor (LCD) to test bench without removing the cable.

Is this right?

hooking 2 monitors up to a pc is easy.

what Sector7 is looking for is a VGA switcher i believe.

That's Right. I guess i'm needing some kind of box I can plug both into and that would go into the monitor. With a switch on it for changing to whichever device I want.

Not exactly sure, I assume it's just a box with wires as there is no power adapter on mine, no actual circuitry involved. I was able to do two different computers at different resolutions and it worked fine. Not sure how well it could handle wide screen high-res though.
