I've got this Neo Geo, and I was tracing some wires in it, and I found one that was cut. I would rather replace the whole wire, rather than splice the two together (that will be a last resort I guess)

So, I'm hoping someone with a lot of experience with harnesses and connectors can chime in.

Can I find another connector like this, without buying a whole new set of cables?
I just want to crimp the end on to a new wire and slide it in, but I don't know what kind of connector it is, or if it's possible. Probably proprietary, but we'll see.

It's the cable for the credit counter on a 6 slot cabinet.

Don't know about the plugs. But the contacts look exactly like some 3.96mm AMP (Tyco) contacts we used about a year ago. Naturally, I can't find the part number now, though.

If you ever come accross the part number, let me know. It's not high priority right now, just will need to know eventually

Looks like a .1" ptch, not a .156" pitch though... that appears to be the same connector used on the credit LED displays...

Yeah, it came from the credit LED display. Guess credit counter wasn't the right term... that would refer to the play counter, more, wouldn't it?

If anyone has a part number or knows where I can buy it... or has an extra... let me know

Honestly, I'd just do an in-line splice and shrinkwrap the wire...

either that or try to 'uncrimp' the pins and crimp them back to a new wire... It's not worth the trouble to find an exact replacement....

Looks like some kind of JST connector, maybe a "CZ".

Bummer...I finally found the part number for the .156" contacts. AMP 3-770522-1.

Jameco used to carry those... I accidentally ordered them instead of standard .156 or trifurcons...

Actually... Jameco #736456 is .1", and it looks pretty damn close... dunno if it'll fit in that housing though.

OP - I *think* Mundoman may still have a couple harnesses for them laying around, I know I got a couple displays from him and I think I left the wiring behind.

Yeah, that does look really close...

I'll have to check it out... they give measurements on it... so I will see

Thanks for everyone's help...
