Surely you are trolling.

And it's "your" not "you're." ;)

1. Multicades killed the collector market inflated prices

2. Its unlicensed and and is mediocre emulation on most of the games

3. Multicades result in destroying of classic arcade cabs

4. a lot of these cab conversions are thrown together by people looking to make a buck.

5. Its cheap and will please casual gamers and people playing it for the nostalgia factor.

6. Build a quality multicade if you're a gamer and invest in a house with a large basement if you're a collector

id be willing to bet that most people that are fine with multicades are also fine with

mame
stealing music
mod chips

All very well-put points.

Multicades are great for the occasional gamer who doesn't have room for every great game. I've seen really ass conversions and such, but I've seen some others that look just fine.

I happen to own one and its housed in my space invaders cabinet. I placed a joystick in the center hole instead of a button, and now I can play 48 classic games instead of one rather repetitive game. Hey, my garage only has so many square feet in it, you know.

I couldn't of said it better. Well, with at least most of them.
personally I'm not one of those people who are fine with them. And yes I know I have one.

I think all those points are true except the part about "mediocre emulation". Don't know what emulators you're talking about, but the version of mame I use is pretty dead on for the games I care about.

I think multicades have their place and I love having one even though I'm building a collection at this point. I also think that to a degree while collector prices have gone down due to multicades, there are a lot of mame'rs who got into collecting because of mame, which of course drives prices up.

+1, except my exception is with: "3. Multicades result in destroying of classic arcade cabs." Not always true. Some folks make their own cabinets...

I agree with all but number 1 and I will add :
7. The ones with multi-art look tacky as Hell and the more I see them , the more I hate them.
8. There is no effing way you can compare a multi-game to a classic. So why even mention it.

I like multi's... I like dedicated... I dislike being pigeonholed by someone who doesn't know me... but I will live.
